Will there be a release of grey port doors for the grey c7’s? ETA?

Mike, any plans to release “early 604 style” uppers with a gray receiver? Got a 601 lower and that would be perfect. Thanks.

Any ETA on a restock of carry handle mounts? I don't want to pay $300 for a A.R.M.S. one .

Are these ejection port doors better than the ones that came with the full A1 uppers? I was never very clear on the issues but I recall folks saying that we’d need to replace them…

Received my blem C7 gray upper last night. Love it. The channel in the carry handle appears perfectly centered. Bore is milled evenly. Sits perfectly flush in a lower. The blemy area is probably the dark marbling in the finish behind the Brunton bump. Couple thous of lateral play in the A1 sight assembly, though. Normal? It's been a while since I played with one.
Thank you, Mike. This is a long time project coming to fruition. Attached File |

Is this mag catch button black or gray? I understand these gray builds are always going to be 50 shades of gray to a degree, but this seems black to me. The trigger guard is gray. This was from a gray M16A2 LRPK. I understand the trigger guard and mag catch button are the only two things different between the gray and black kits.

Got my non blem greyC7 upper today, everything looks great! It is quite a bit lighter than my grey cots lower and two position extension. Just giving reference, no complaints!

Mike, is there any chance you’ll offer A2 rear sight apertures separately for those of us that want to use them on our A1/C7 uppers?
They’re fairly difficult to find separately. |

I wonder if that is why it was a blem. Does not matter to me since I will be "painting" an a2 lower to match since it is SBR'ed. THought about a black upper but can't do it. |

View Quote Yea I’m not complaining at all, just making note because I know some people are curious. I grabbed my cots lower when they first got released and have been waiting for these grey c7’s ever since. The machining all looks good and it’s a tight fit to my lower, I hoped it would match closer in color (who doesn’t !?!) but not sweating it at all. If I’m not content when it’s put together I’ll rattle can it. |

Is an A2 aperture compatible with an A1 rear sight? Or does it take some modification to get it to fit? |

Got my Form 1 back in 4 days this week so I put my XM177E2 together.
H&R lower half except I swapped out the safety and bolt catch for older ones I had that more more gray looking. The lower was a blem but looks great, matches up to the gray two position tube and charging handle perfectly too (both H&R also). The upper is one of the dreaded Shark Arms ones with the deep rear sight cut but I got it cheap in the Exchange and it's shimmed so works fine. Brownells 11.5 inch barrel and moderator. H&R buttstock and old original H&R mottled grip. Cargo sling just because and an old 20 rounder. Overall I don't think the various grays looks too bad together. Attached File Attached File |
