Here are some FAQs about ordering from LT.
1) When do they charge my credit card? A) They charge your credit card when your order is ready to ship. Once you card is charged, it is a very short time until you will receive your order. They WILL run your card immediately upon placing an order, although it shows as a $0 charge, and drops off in a few days since they don't post anything. This is essentially a way to verify that you've given them a valid card. * Unless this is a special sale item then your card may be charged at time of purchase. 2) What does "In Queue" mean? A) It means you have provided everything that LT needs to complete your order. You are now just waiting. 3) Can I make changes to my order? A) Yes, but I suggest you read this and this: "Be careful when you place your rifle order. We will not modify quantity, caliber, model, or barrel-length of existing rifle orders without canceling your original order and creating a new one. This will consequently move you to back of the “queue.”" 4) Where's my stuff? A) Read this: Order volume is at an all-time high. If you are able to place your order on the LaRue web site, please do so without calling-in so we can keep the lines free for those requiring technical support and assistance. Please do not contact us for status or updates on your order. We will not give you ETA's on any product. We will continue to make every effort to ship orders as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. 5. What if there is a price increase while I am waiting for my product? A) You will pay the price that is on your order. Per Mark Fingar. 6) Can I prepay for my rifle? A) While there are still some people in queue that have prepaid, as of the time of this writing (Jan 13) LT does not appear to be accepting prepayment. 7) How do I know if what I want is in stock? A) The LT website does not give any indication of stock levels. When you place an order, it is immediately shipped, or placed into backorder. If you call the shop, they can check if something is in stock. See question #4 above. 8) Who is Juli, and why should I call her? A) Juli is the Queen of Compliance. If you get an email or phone message, or if the website order status says to call her, it is in regards to your FFL. Her email is Juli AT LarueTactical DOT com. 9) Will LaRue Tactical install a muzzle device that I provide so that I can fit my suppressor on it? A) No. This is apparently something that they did years ago, but the current information is that they no longer offer that service. They will, however, install muzzle devices purchased from LT. 10) What do the different order statuses mean? A) Here is a list of statuses: Pending - This is a temporary status that your order goes into until it is processed and put in one of the other statuses. In Queue - This means that you are in line while your product is being made. Payment Received - Aside from the obvious meaning, this status has only been seen on PredatOBR Pre-orders. Backordered - The product you ordered is not in stock, and you have not been charged yet. Completed - Happiness has ensued. Wristbands - This is most likely some sort of internal designation relating to the whole Jan 2013 push to get lowers out to grandfather buyers prior to any pending legislation. Lowers Ban Hold - An order progression in the great Lower Push of 2013. Lowers Ban Charged - An order progression in the great Lower Push of 2013. Lowers Ban Shipped - An order progression in the great Lower Push of 2013. Your lower was shipped, and when the rifle is ready to be completed, you will ship your lower back to LT. Gun Room - This seems to be where your order sits for extended periods of time if you ordered a Stealth Upper and there is a backlog. If you have others, please post them and I will update this post. Between you bumping this, and a possible sticky, maybe we will stop seeing the same questions posted nearly every day. Disclaimer: This FAQ is the best information that I have based on my personal interactions with LaRue Tactical, Team emails, reading the website, following Mark LaRue and Mark Fingar on this forum, and sometimes just plain general consensus among contributors here. If you have any reason to believe that these answers are in error, please either message me or post in this thread to alert me to it. Please provide what information you can (emails, links to posts) as to your sources. Do they call when they are going to charge my card. I have a daily $1000 limit. I will have to call the bank to authorize the payment. I don't want my order canceled when my card is declined. Thanks.

No they do not call. Either amend your daily limit or use another card.

Any way to figure out what is and isn't in stock other than just placing an order or calling? I'm wanting to order an optic from LaRue, but I'm not sure that I want to wait until the middle of summer to get it if I can find one somewhere else.

Does anyone know if i can prepay to avoid this issue. I'll try calling on monday to just pay for it. It has nothing to do with expecting the rifle faster or avoiding any legislation. I can call the bank and have them increase my limit for one day, make the payment and return my limit back to $1000. the whole point is that I don't want to raise my limit for the next year or how ever long it takes. And i only have one credit card, with a zero balance, i hate credit. they have my debit card on file.

If for whatever reason your card declines they will send you an e-mail letting you know to call in and correct the problem after it has declined. |

Pertaining to #9 about muzzle devices, They will not install YOUR muzzle device but they have several options available on their website that are suppressor compatible or the Titan comps ect. I ordered a comp AFTER ordering my stealth and asked if they could install it while assembling my upper and they are going to do it as I am purchasing the muzzle device from them. YMMV and the policy may have changed.

When I ordered, I asked if the Troy Claymore could be installed on a 7.62 but got an answer that was leaning towards no - any clue if this one is good to go on a PredatAR? It has to be pinned if that makes any difference.

I know they don't "charge" your cc until they're ready to ship but do they run a "test" through or something? I just paid off all my credit cards in case I get THE CALL and noticed I have a pending charge from Larue Tactical for today. It says $0 though. My first thought was holy crap I made the cut but I'm like #834xx. I also just placed a new order for a predatAR in hopes I somehow pull a rabbits foot out my rear but am not holding my breath. Maybe there run something when you order just to see if the card is valid? I'm kicking myself I didn't look before i placed the new order. And never noticed when I placed my original order.
Dangit I think I just got excited for nothing. What a tease. I'm not about to call bc they've got more important things to do. I'll just be checking my statement every 5 minutes. Plus it still says In Queue on LT's website. I'm such a doofus |

I called into LaRue b/c I didn't know this post existed. During the call I thought the nice person from LaRue told me they would charge my CC 2/3 the amount of the order/rifle once the stripped lower is shipped. She also said this would be sent by overnight delivery. Has anyone else experienced this? Man I want to place an order but I wanted a little more time to save up the full amount.

I just got an email from Larue on my PredatOBR 16 inch order. After 1 yr and 6 days my rifle is finally going into production. My cc was charged today. I'm thrilled.
