Jasper is part Shepherd/Cattledog/Asshole mix, and I can honestly say he doesn’t give a shit about your puppy or any other dog based on how he treats other canines…

Rescue dogs are the best dogs. We've got 6, 5 of them are rescues, in one way or another.
1 Red Husky I got from a breeder who was getting out of it. I think he's retarded. Or doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together any more. 1 Grey/Black husky that my wife found on the side of the road dragging a chain. Chipped and Fixed. But the chip was never registered. Best of the bunch 1 Akita we got from the SPCA shelter He'd been there for 6 months. Looks like a pit and nobody wanted him for that. Kinda dumb, but a sweetheart. 1 Grey/white husky we got from the local kill shelter. Likes to start fights, but runs away like a pussy when they fight back. 1 coy dog (according to the vet) who just showed up one day and never left after I fed him. Neurotic as hell. But friendly as all get out, once he trusts you. 1 yellow lab we inherited from our son when he went off to college. If anyone ever tries to hurt my wife, they will have to kill this dog and the Akita to get at her. Myself included, I think. We staged a fake fight in the front yard one night. Yelling and play fighting. They were not having it. Would have been bit if I wasn't paying attention to them. Dinner time at our house is Interesting |

I ran across the road, grabbed her by the back of the neck and raised her up. She had some blood on one foot and her cheek but didn't seem to be bleeding much. I carried her over to the car and got in and laid her in the floor on the passenger side. The rain and wind hit and it poured it down. She climbed up on the seat and sat down to watch the windshield wipers go back and forth and I figured she must be alright. Got her home and saw my wife's car was gone. Called her and she'd driven herself and our youngest son to the grocery store. I told her to pick up some kitten food and a small collar and she got all excited and wanted to hear where the cat came from. I set the kitten down on the floor to talk and it disappeared on me. I twisted some more and could see her tail stricking out from under the kitchen stove. Had to get a wonder bar to pry the trim piece loose so I could get my hand in there and grab her to get her out. Then my wife and son came home and the cuddling, hugging, nose rubbing, etc. commenced. Not much feels as good as rescuing a lost hungry set baby animal from surely being killed in nature. |
