I agree 100%
I had a few laughs at the faces it came up with.

Have you noticed all these AI generators and similar "tools" popping up?

We're teaching it.

Awesome stuff in this thread. I must suck at prompt writing because I can't even come close to this.

Tried a slew of these AI generators today. I don't recall which one made this, but I learned a lot about prompts and negative prompts. I'm considering springing for the Midjourney subscription.

Most of them are running off open source projects like StableDiffusion. Proprietary services of comparable quality like Midjourney, Dalle3/bing, NovelAI are still few in number.

Other than the shadow it would be difficult to tell that one from a real picture.

Yeah, and there's some wonkiness on the thumbs. That was my first pass and about 5 minutes on FOOOCUS AI and Google Colab. I'm pretty sure it was leveraging Sable Diffusion Juggernaut XL. Once I figured out the interface and how to set a face, I was generating a ton of different images all featuring the same virtual person. It seemed to be more effective on female faces than male faces (where the jawline kept changing).

For those interested, the prompt field had a huge character count (much higher than Microsoft's field) and there was a negative prompt (don't make these things) which helped with refinement. Then you could select speed or quality as the priority. I got about 50 images into it before it quit working. Digging around on YouTube it seems people were having problems ands getting hacked (you log in with Google account) so I quit trying and changed my password.

I see Midjourney had a big release on consistent character faces, which interests me. So I might spring for a subscription as it seems to be a bit more secure than the free generators. Gotta admit, I am not wild about the Discord interface.

The improvements are moving quickly, makes you wonder how long before voice/motion is readily possible. I can see some members here putting their own “selves” into mini movies with dream dates (Ta Ta) or being a Haitian warlord. Nothing seems to far fetched at this point. Talk about people losing touch with reality and living in their computer.

I guess, if she has scoliosis. Look at the way her midriff/torso shift unnaturally to her left. Like she got a worm torso or something. Left shoulder way higher than her right, but her arms/hands still end at the same level. She's a circus freak. Reminds me of that scene in Men in Black where the cockroach alien is trying to fit in a human's skin.

I don't get the uncanny valley effect like I do with some AI. The prompts from the tutorial I was following was "model, sultry walk, paris, daytime" - it spit out that image.

Reality-Check heads up display to analyze everything in real time to determine what's real or generated by AI with data about all objects, places and people. Menu with options to submit reports.

TV show analysis overlay with information about all people, places and things. Warning indicators for fake image data and menu options to Report or Replace.

eta: tried a closeup of lady eating steak, enjoying wine in nice restaurant with similar report / replace buttons and notifications like above images (what's real, what's fake). The result was always a content warning unless I replaced FAKE with random gibberish AND changed the COLOR of the outlines / red warning to pink. Exclamation point instead of FAKE was unacceptable but question mark apparently gets a go ahead as long as it's replaced with a pink heart. Yellow, red, green and orange all get a content warning.. interesting.

..and to just check to see if there's any bias if it's a guy instead.. interesting.

I grabbed a midjourney account, Hooooly shit can you kill some time playing around with that. I started watching YT vids and testing things out and realized 5 hours had gone by.

I remember seeing some sculptors in a shop working on a Disney themed chess board with 6 inch to 12 inch figures, each one unique. Walt was the king for one side of the board, Mickey on the other. Then there was snow white as white queen, the dwarves as pawns (I don't recall who was the 8th pawn on that side, The evil Cruella as the black queen, various crocodiles, other fitting characters as knights, bishops and so on. It was all fantastically stylized and detailed. The models were being cast in bronze and hand finished for some limited edition set. I think they said they were making less than 300 or as long as the molds lasted. I've never seen one of the boards completed (probably 2 feet square).
