(threat comes at about 6:50) I dont know if i feel comfortable with people like this representing the constitution. I've been AFK, and away from arfcom for a while because I've been focused on real world 1A and 2A activism (and grad school). Im all for fighting anarcho commies who beat people up at protests, it's a great time. But one of the core principles of the constitution is free speech and threatening people with violence because of their views isn't what I'm about. These people are basically helping create a reality in which the fascists (literally, the actual fascists) are the only group that actually cares about free speech. This would be less than ideal, to say the least. ETA: Yeah I cant figure out how to make the youtube imbed work. Edited again because apparently I can't type today. |

Somebody on another board told me that was the actual leader of the org, but they may have been misinformed. I'm not sure myself. Yeah when I first heard of them, I thought the oath keepers were at least very interesting, maybe potential to be something cool. Then I see things like this I can't get behind. View Quote |

So did they predict yet another drone missile strike this time?

What side am I supposed to be on? It's too confusing to keep track of all these factions.

Two things:
After they bailed on Bundy, they lost all my support. I gave them another try early last year. I attended a training event with a local militia group hosted by OK OathKeepers. Complete cluster fuck. Supposed verified combat vets in leadership positions of the OathKeepers didnt know what the fuck was going on. They had no idea what they were talking about and constantly changed the syllabus of the training event. It felt like they were winging it. Never again. |

Punching Right is BAD, m'kay.
But the Oathcreepers were never the brightest bulbs in the box. |

I actually came here to ask about the Oathkeepers.
One of my coworkers is a member. Claims that during the riots in Charlotte, NC they protected the cops. |

It's gonna get worse. More factions will splinter from all this bullshit. If being a young protester taught me anything it's that all the loons show up at a protest and they all have separate agendas even if they have a common cause. It's part of why I left it in my youth. View Quote |

There seems to be a lot of Concern in this thread...........
From what I took away in the video the person speaking said they welcomed blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Gays and people of all colors, races and religions but they didn't want the National Socialists (Nazis) there as part of their group. OP, Have you seen Kyle? Can you show me how tall he is?..............I bet you can...... |

I didn't see this happen, but I did hear about it later. I did witness(and film) a Hillary voter being given a chance to speak.

Do they believe it applies to people who aren't part of their identity? View Quote White Nationalists are a specific type of identitarians. Not all identitarians are white nationalists; black nationalists like NOI, latino nationalists like La Raza, and other types of ethno nationalists, such as Zionists, would all be considered identitarians. As for the constitution thing, I guess that would vary from group to group, and maybe even person to person. I haven't really given that much thought, since it wasn't my primary concern (which in this case is 1A) I think this is more of a vinn diagram question, but I'm not sufficiently literate with an appropriate graphic software to make one. |

Apparently an Oathkeepers oath only goes so far. To them the Constitution only applies to the people they want it to. So perchance their oath to keep their oaths were a waste of time. Perhaps, they should have taken an oath to keep their oath to keep their oath about the oath they took?
