Since the trend seems to be a bit of pipe dreaming:
A second block of F-22s, incorporating some of the relevant F-35 tech, bringing the total numbers somewhere around 500 aircraft. New nukes for the entire triad Iron dome like system for all military bases in near-threat environments [Kuwait, Guam, Okinawa, S. Korea, etc. etc.], capable of defeating short-mid-long range threats A long range missile defense system for the entire west coast, and then the east coast, if I'm not concerned with money. Short range missile/rocket defense system for Abrams, Bradleys, etc. I'd take the Navy's stealth drone tankers and build many variants doing different things, including maritime patrol, submarine detection, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, etc. etc. It'd be similar to the LCS in terms of its modularity for different systems, but it wouldn't be such a cluster, as everything i've mentioned is really just different sensors/electronic systems. |
