Sucks to shoot, but disappears in the pocket. It's the ultimate shorts and a tshirt gun. View Quote Yep, not "fun" to shoot but there is virtually nothing like it for convenience and lightweight discrete carry. I love a good J frame too, but they feel big and bulky in comparison. My Gen 2 stainless LCP is going nowhere and it has run everything I've stuffed in it 100% since brand new. FMJ, hollowpoints, you name it, it has earned my trust. |

I want one for work days. I had a BG380, then a CM40, now no pocket gun. For $200, why not?

Pffft...get me one of those bad boys for the pocket. I'm assuming that's why they keep selling out everywhere. If they're as bad as everyone claims there should be a mass dump of them on the used market for $125-150ish soon. |

a Ruger LCP .380? I haven't ordered one yet...but boy am I tempted every time I see the online gun stores get them in stock for $200-225 shipped. They seem to be selling rather briskly at that price as well. Don't need it, never particularly wanted it, but at that price? Sheesh... View Quote I got a PF9 for that price. I'd rather have the 9mm Keltec. |

Keep in mind people, there are two generations of LCP's. Ruger did not make a big deal of this or even really mention it. In approximately late '13 IIRC they updated and improved the standard LCP with a much improved lighter trigger and slightly larger sights. So many people who hate the gun may have experienced the Gen 1 gun. My Gen 2 is fairly easy to ring a 12" plate reliably at WAY beyond LCP range. I bought it with the idea that it may be a A: jammomatic and B: broad side of barn gun. It has far surpassed my expectations that I had going in with regards to reliability and accuracy.

Had one with the Hogue slip on rubber grip. At the new lower price, I'm getting another.

LCP is a terrific little pocket gun that will disappear in anything I regularly wear. Even though I have a G42 for my pocket gun now, I'm definitely not selling the LCP... it's just too perfect.
Accurate too |

Don't own or want one.
Seems like a deal though. $200 could be better spent on ammo or parts. Eta: Twisted Industries .22lr conversion makes me want one for a fun range toy. |

Couldn't stand the trigger on the one that I fired. Thinking of picking up the Custom model since I hear that's improved. Hard to go wrong at ~ 220. View Quote It is improved. The Custom has the red aluminum trigger. I've had mine since July. Carry it in a bra holster when I can't carry my Shield. Thing just disappears. Just got the Hogue grip for it. Should make shooting it more comfortable. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I had one. I found a good deal on a P238 and that is my go to gun. I am at a point in life where if it isnt a single action with an ergonomic thumb safety then I dont want it.
I've been there, done that with the LCP and won't ever buy another one. It just don't work as well for me. |

I've had an LCP for going on 7 yrs. NOT FUN TO SHOOT AT ALL. NOT A RANGE GUN. That said, there is nothing else out there that is so small, light and easy to carry that goes bang every time.

Love mine. It serves its purpose well, as my 'puttering around in the garage 30' from the public street' pocket gun. Weighs nothing. Desantis Nemesis holster keeps it upright nad right where I need it. The folks complaining about the trigger make me laugh. It's not a target pistol. Might as well be faulting it for not being accurate at 400yds.

I hated it at first, but now I absolutely love it. Just appreciate it for what it is. Point shoot at seven yards and under and empty the mag. To me all the rounds pretty much feel like one trigger pull by the time I get to click.

I hated .380 one time too. Then I had to have a Glock 42 when I shot one. Now I have an LCP as well. I rarely carry either one except as a backup gun but it's nice to have.

Cabelas has them on sale for $200 right now, but I know one Cabelas that had a dozen in stock and sold them all within the first 5.5 hrs of opening on Thursday. I have one with the Crimson Trace grip and love it. I carry it more than anything else in the summer since it slips into a front pocket holster so easily. We joked a about buying a couple instead of buying extra mags as a backup.

I paid 200 for a used NIB that wasn't shot a few years ago from a lady who won it in a raffle. Much nicer than the P3AT, but still, not pleasant to shoot.
