Bump for the afternoon in Poland/Slovakia.
If anyone's in the area I'm more than happy to pay you for your time and effort if you can make it to Vazec to take a few pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Post on gravefinder.com or findagrave. If you get lucky some of the geneaologists on there will be local and they can go snap a picture for you. In fact, it may already be on there. Good luck.

I am nowhere near there these days but know the region pretty well.
Google maps tells me it's a very small village, but right off the main road between Kosice and Bratislava. I'd recommend staying in Kosice if you go there - plenty to see and do, nice places to stay - less than 2 hour drive to the village in question, all on very nice newly improved roads. |

Thanks all.
In the last 2 days we've gone from "buried by Catholic nuns in Poland" sometime in 1945 to having a birth date, birth location, death date, death location, and rank. We've sent official inquiries in to the German government and the German War Grave Commission. It'll probably takes months or more to get the official responses but I'll update this thread as we find out new information. |
