Ayup. A self made billionaire instead of people who couldn't make it in the real world (politicans).

http://michellemalkin.com/2011/04/22/donald-trumps-eminent-domain-empire/

He made a lot of his money through use of government force against individuals.

“Unlike most developers, Donald Trump doesn’t have to negotiate with a private owner when he wants to buy a piece of property, because a governmental agency — the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority or CRDA — will get it for him at a fraction of the market value, even if the current owner refuses to sell. Here is how the process works.

“After a developer identifies the parcels of land he wants to acquire and a city planning board approves a casino project, CRDA attempts to confiscate these properties using a process called ’eminent domain,’ which allows the government to condemn properties ‘for public use.’ Increasingly, though, CRDA and other government entities exercise the power of eminent domain to take property from one private person and give it to another. At the same time, governments give less and less consideration to the necessity of taking property and also ignore the personal loss to the individuals being evicted.”

Kind of important to consider he's a lot less self-made than he claims, and his methods to building his businesses have often been at someone else's expense.

Can you explain to me how that will make America great again?

That's not even on the menu.

We're currently just trying to stave off total collapse.

I don't know that Trump would run 3rd party.  IIRC he said he wouldn't.

Unless I misunderstand, you seem to think he would, and as an intentional strike back at the GOP... which would split the vote, elect Hillary or Bernie, and ultimately harm the country.

Why would that kind of action be a desirable trait in a candidate?

lol

The GOP can do what it wants.  Establishment bozos like Kasich or Bush are irrelevant.  This election cycle the polls have already left them long ago.  It's still up to primary voters to select the candidate.

If the Republican primary voters select Carson, who's Trump going to burn by going 3rd party?  Won't be the establishment - they get cozy with failure anyway.

Do you really want a candidate or president who bullies his own party into submission by threat "You go there, we ALL DIE!"?

Can't say I'm inspired by that kind of leadership.

That was after he was already a billionaire. I swear people just regurgitate the same BS slash pieces and fail to even fact check.

What he does is no different than any wealthy businessman. You play the game.  People are jelly he is better at playing the game then they are, doing shit they could never do.

While he came from a bit of money, he turned a small real estate company into a multi-billion dollar enterprise.  He also spend grade 8-12 at a military academy. He has worked hard for everything. Anyone who said otherwise is a moron.

Well I'm here to show the OP and other liberal dopes what fascism really is.   Let's start by watching some real fascists....

Hillary and Bernie, sure.

Not sure where Carson screwed anyone over.  Even with Rubio's working with the Ds on some kind of shamnesty that failed, I'm not sure how much he's actually screwed over his constituents.  I live in TX and haven't felt particularly screwed over by Cruz - actually he's been representing pretty well.

Personally, I don't make determinations based on what a candidate has said during one election cycle.  I consider what he has said over time.

That gives me a great deal of difficulty getting enthused about Trump.

So if you use the power of the state to force property owners to sell to you *after* you've become a billionaire then it's ok?

Do tell ......

OH MY GOD...HILLARY AS PRESIDENT.  Give that some thought.

I think he'll doom us to Hillary for 8 years.  OMG.

Jimmy Fallon just took another little cheap Nazi shot at Trump, and I realized why every time that any media try to hurt him, Trump's polling numbers rise.  I think they rise because we are just so tired of hearing the media using Conservatives for cheap shots, we want our country back.

Hedonist trivia:  I used to commute to college, and use about 20 miles of NJ's Garden State Parkway to and from school during Atlantic City's Casino boom.  At least once a week Donald's limo would blow past me, often there were two, I suppose one was a backup limo.  The GSP is limited to 55mph, and Trump's limos were always traveling significantly faster - and there was no doubt who it was - sometimes you could see him if you saw them coming and sped up a bit... otherwise they were like a blur.

Sound good?

China trade has led to loss of 3M American jobs so far. (Sep 2015)
Priority of trade deals should be helping American workers. (Sep 2015)
Base trade policy on working families, not multinationals. (Jun 2015)
Wrong, wrong, wrong that trade deals create jobs here. (Apr 2015)
End disastrous NAFTA, CAFTA, and PNTR with China. (Mar 2015)

Cruz 2016.

No one cares what the establishment thinks. Trump/Carson/Cruz are the focus of the GOP electorate right now... and the establishment hates all three. That alone says it all. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the GOPe has been toppled, not by a long shot... Those fuckers never give up...but they are flailing on the precipice of a bottomless pit of irrelevance.

"A new Economist/YouGov poll finds Republican front-runner Donald Trump leading rivals Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Ben Carson by double digits in hypothetical, head-to-head, primary match-ups.

The New York billionaire would defeat Rubio and Cruz by the same margin of 57 percent to 43 percent, and would defeat Carson by a margin of 60 to 40 percent, according to the poll.

The finding is a blow to the hopes of some Republican elites who argue that Trump's stubborn lead in the race will dissipate once the field winnows and a more mainstream alternative rises."  -snip-

Nameless person says that they thought something that somebody else also said and, thus, that thing that they said is true.

We were all wondering what the GOPe meant by "an online guerrilla war against Trump"...

Well, here we are: The Cuck Offensive.

Looks like all the GOPe could come with with is "Trump=Hitler".

*yawn*

Yup.

And if the Establishment manages to destroy Trump, Cruz will be next, then Carson.

Absolute fact.

Trump is Hitler, Cruz is Pinochet and Carson is Idi Amin. Or so the GOPe will tell us.

Hear it all the time from all of you.

We need someone from outside the establishment who will say what needs to be said.

We need a candidate that isn't financed by the same old donors who control them.

We don't need another professional politician.

Blah blah blah blah

Well look here we finally have a self made man who speaks his mind and what do you old cronies do?  Bash him over and over again for being all the things you supposedly wanted in a candidate.

Yeah he's loud, brash and could definitely tone the rhetoric down but at the moment he's looking like our guy so why the hell keep bashing the guy???

I know of a lot of lifelong Democrat voters who like Trump but don't even know who Cruz is.  It's the centric voters who sway elections and I believe Trump could do it.
