I took the little girl trick or treating tonight. It was fun but we only saw 1 other group of kids.

She got lots of candy.

Lego movie.  You should see it.

Lewisville.  Small show.  Not worth $8 unless it's the only show you can get to in the next month.

I live in the area and I didn't know it was going on this weekend.  Maybe I'll catch it one of these months.

And - they've been kragled.  Small possibility I might go & shoot it tomorrow.  Might have to do some Dremeling on the right grip to take down the sharp edges some.

Hola.  Went shooting yesterday - success!  The grips didn't fly off in 14 rounds.

This is the 2nd magazine.  Should've been 8, but RIA & Privi Partisan don't play well.

Lol!  Whenever you want to volunteer your videographer services, I'll be happy to take advantage of them.  Until then I get by w/ my volunteer RSO's when they're not busy.

The RIA runs fine on the Privi Partisan hollow points - but hates feeding the 1st round from the mag, particularly if it's already set them back.  I was shooting my 15 round supply of top rounds from the magazine that the RIA had set back to a greater or lesser degree.

Hola.  Ran 3 miles instead of going to the gun show - then drank a beer @ church, and 2 after church - 1 beer/mile, right?

I haven't done the table thing since a week after you met me - sold just as many stocks wandering around as I did sitting @ a table.

I wish I had a better plan for this year unfortunately I'm stuck to just my parents small property.

I may be able to hit up an uncle to hunt his place up the road a couple of times if I need to, I guess.

It was pretty good. It would have been better if the deer was anything but what it was. Stupid button bucks.

At least it'll be tender.

Eating what I shoot but not needing to shoot my food, I'd prefer to shoot a tender animal than to shoot a large one.  Albeit I hunt pigs and not deer, but having eaten plenty of both, I'm fairly confident the principle is the same.

Incidentally, your cammo is remarkably suitable to the background.  Are you hunting in oaks, and if so where?  Lot of leaves on the ground, more than in the Anderson county hardwoods I hunt, at least as of a week ago.

We were hunting in wise county. Almost all the wooded area is oak, so the real tree hardwood pattern is perfect. Not that it matters when your sitting in a box stand.

Most of the leaves are last year's. It's still pretty green. Here's a picture of the clearing we were hunting.

Hola.  Glad someone had some luck.  Sold one of my associates an Axis in .270" today, mounted the scope he picked out.  Spent 2 hours going through options, trying the medium rings, replacing them w/ high rings, really felt he got a good deal - and he'll get $50 back in the mail.

I used my DPMS DCM, again. The winchester power point bullet does a pretty darn good job on deer.  With a slight quartering toward me I hit both lungs and the heart with a clean pass through.

I really need to pull the Fastfire off my glock and mount it to my win 94 ae. The 30 wcf is probably a more ideal round for what I'm hunting but the buckhorn sites on the 94 are atrocious.

It's not so bad since you'll only handle a deer a couple of times a year. Just change clothes and wash up after you skin them out.

Alternatively, dress the deer in your NBC gear.

(Or, dress in the NBC gear yourself, while you dress the deer.)

I've never had to wear mopp 4 gear but it sounds worse then rubbing my face up and down the deer as I skin it.
