I used to love watching The Monkees, Dennis the Menace,  Mr. Ed, etc. I heard "Daydream Believer" on the radio the other day and thought about making this thread.

My mom used to watch Mr. Ed....

On the same 80s note - I was recently thinking about the BBC show "all creatures great and small" as my grandparents used to watch it.

Full house, some of the TGIF shows from the 90's.

Donna Reed, Mr. Ed, Monkeys, Newhart, Smothers Brothers, Mork & Mindy.   Fond memories.

Hell my wife was watching this show called "Younger" the other day and I was surprised when I saw it was on Nick at Night.

It was very adult...I was like WTF!

HIMYM

My wife and I sleep with the TV on and the volume low.  It's almost always on Nick at Nite.  I can sleep to anything.  She's very picky.

"Nick at night, the place for T.V. hits"

Or as an adolescent miscreant, "Nick at night, the place for T.V. shits."

I liked my three sons, Mr ed. . .

There isn't a substitute. Me tv is good sometime, but other time it sucks, Dr Phil and that jerry guy.

Those old shows are very popular, I don't know why there isn't a channel just for them.

I have two HDTV channels that play the old stuff 24/7.  Mr Ed, Dragnet, Dennis the Menace, The Patty Duke Show, Zorro, etc.

Car 54, Where Are You and Laugh In are another couple that I remember. Dragnet too.

These days most folks don't know what those shows are.

Doby Gillis was another one that aired in the evenings.  Good stuff to watch hour after hour back then, and we had so many less channels too.

Did you know that Clint Eastwood was on a Mr Ed episode?

He was!

Mr Ed called him on the phone.

I also grew up on those reruns. Remember when A&E first came on and it was all Poirot, Horatio Hornblower, Biography, Evening at the Improv and Early SNL reruns?

'90s/2000s crap. No thanks.

I loved Nick at Nite as a kid in the '80s because they showcased programming from the "Golden Age of Television," stuff that aired long before I was born. Of course, to a kid born in the 2000s, their current programming may seem ancient as well.

Way back when, Nick @ Nite aired a show (weekly, IIRC) where they dubbed over the soundtrack with dialog that was completely different, as in What's up, Tiger Lilly?. It was so funny we used to actually leave bars early so we could get back to the barracks to watch it.

For the life of me though, I cannot remember what the show was called.

Shit.

That was my cue to turn off the damn tv.  No cartoons, no care.

Except when SNICK came out.  Are You Afraid of the Dark was the shit, as was Ren and Stimpy.

Roundhouse was like a meh version of In Living Color.

Clarissa Explains It All was boring, and I didn't know it at the time, but I knew something was off about it, even as a kid.  I know now that it was extremely libtarded.

I used to love Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Dragnet.  Watched those with my dad all the time.  Hitchcock gave me nightmares but I still loved it.
