What is it?
Each week (or two) I will pick a shooting challenge/scenario to be shot and numbers posted and compared to your ARF peers. Items needed besides the guns and ammo? -Enough target stands (you can make a PVC target stand for $10). -Shot timer would be nice but not necessary though but it does help you see where you are at. -Not all drills will require a timer (best to invest in a timer ) -the guts to post This is open to all willing to post and is a great place for feed back on your technique. Don't be afraid, this is a safe place!!! Drills will be all kinds of different scenarios. Ranging from USPSA qualifiers to movie scenes to real world deadly force encounters to pure bullshit fun Drills will be short. Point is to do something fun that doesn't require a lot or effort in setup, and is quick. Points Break Down: "A"= 5 "B"= 3 "C"= 3 "D"= 1 "Miss"= -10 -Best to use IDPA/USPSA/IPSC targets for ease in scoring Total Points divided by total time = score (HF) Generic Calculator if you don't like math. -Some Drills may have different scoring methods that will be described in the post describing the drill. Winner gets name added to the wall and claims bragging rights! No more "winners" Stipulations -The challenge will dictate the gear. If concealment is a 'general' requirement: Concealment can be IDPA fishing vest if that's what you have. Or you can use your actual CCW rig and conceal with a tee shirt. Though I would encourage people to use the gear and guns how you think you would actually use them IRL! And let's not over think this, it's all just got fun **Legal disclaimer: Training and competiting with firearms is inherently dangerous, be sure to follow all safety protocols when using firearms or practicing these drills. You as a participant, undertake any and all physical risk up to and including death should you shoot yourself or anyone else. I, nor AR15.com are liable, you participate at your own risk. These drills are provided for information purposes only.** Just encase some Glocks themselves with a Serpa Shot timers Apps - iphone - More iphone - Android Not apps - Midway - Brownells Addendum 7/6/15: Scoring change 7/21/15: Dropped video requirement 7/26/15: Added Video requirement back because fuck it! 8/3/15: Dropped the overlap day 9/13/15: adjusted scoring for a 'miss' to minus 10 points from 5 previously per USPSA scoring. 11/25/15: Back up and running with no more video nor "win/lose" 12/26/15: 2016 Drills added |

So how are you going to judge those without shot timers.
I don't have one. Seems like it'll be hard to do without one personally. I know there use to be an app. Actually still have the app on my phone but I can no longer adjust the delay setting with new updates on my phone |

I don't want people not to do it because they don't have a shot timer. That's why we video it. It may not be as exact but hey, it's for fun and bragging rights. Not money or fame. |

Fuck it, in.
Now, what carry rig to use, the USPSA legal one, or the actual |

Ill do it. Ill try and get my shot timer app to work, but really its pretty piss poor. I just have a feeling a majority will be in the 2 to 4 second range with this and itll be pretty hard to differentiate fractions of a second. But like you said its just for fun |

Can be IDPA fishing vest if that's what you have. Or you can use your actual CCW rig and conceal with a tee shirt. We will all see who "games" it with race gear. Perhaps with certain challenges and (*) will denote those that used something like a speed holster etc but not as a way to degrade their time but when the video goes away it merely denotes race gear was used. Will not have a negative impact on win or lose. Should the bulk of entrees use race gear for a particular challenge the winner may be broke into 2 categories. Race gear and EDC gear. First place will be shared. |

I'll try it if I can get out
Do you have to smack the imaginary pistol away? |

I propose a rule.
Submit vertical video, and not only are you disqualified, but you shall be forever shamed in the rankings. |

Vertical video? typical example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0M5GJBDN_8 People that record video with phones more often than not don't realize that while a video shot like this might look fine on a phone, it looks like absolute fucktarded SHIT anywhere else. If you record video with a phone, do it in landscape mode. IE hold the phone sideways. Maximum compatibility, and you can see more useful stuff anyway. |

Unless someone around Baytown, TX has some property I can come shoot it on, in for the first challenge you can do at a public range.
