For all the dramatic buildup, the "Wolves" seemed to be duds. I can see why they were not a threat to the sheep of the ASZ.

Also explain to me how Rick doesn't get infected by a walker head exploding blood and brains into his face and mouth.

Oh, good grief!

Because he (and everyone else) is already infected.

Get with the program.

The answer you seek is in the last episode of season 1.

No.  Glenn hanging ole boy out for Zs at the proper moment wouldn't be cliche.

Yup lower parts kits are the same no matter what. Most CA gun owners probably have piles of standard mag release buttons and springs in a drawer somewhere.

There is a first time for everything.  He doesn't lose points on the first time, the second time, well, that's a different story.

I was suspicious when I saw the cans hanging off the trailers as noisemakers.
I thought Aaron was going to open the door on the trailer when he was getting the license plate.
Just something about rolling up those doors made me think there were going to be walkers in there.
Pretty elaborate setup.

No.  As the surprise guest on TTD, he mentioned he honked the horn to see if there were walkers in the area before he left, not to trap them in the car defenseless.

Leave them tied up to a tree or at least laying on the ground

Was thinking that at first but there has been some big differences in after mid season finales not to question this now.

Filming usually starts in May and wraps up in November.   There's no hard break in filming like there is when the show airs.  The writers started on season six about a month and a half ago.

At least that's what they tell me.

the hanging noisemakers were an immediate clue that the area was being used for something.  they weren't even hidden--this should have pinged their threat radar immediately, well before opening the trailers.  and seriously, who goes grabbing license plates and poking into the trailers without making a general recon of the area, first?

bad bad bad.

and before anyone appeals to hindsight, i was saying this to my brother even before the trap was sprung.  "why aren't they noticing the damn cans hung at eye level?  why are they fucking around instead of scouting the area?  why haven't they planned an escape route"

Adopt the 11 General Orders of a Sentry.

Established basic rules, legal procedure, and pre-determined prescribed punishments for violation of rules. Write said rules, procedure, and punishment out and make it available to every resident.

Perimeter security strengthened.  Roaming patrols on interior with dogs (people could dig under walls).  Emergency lighting and alarm.  Spot light at central watch tower location that can scan interior for movement.  FREAKING radios. Stop having people go for nature walks on their own. Start requiring a quarantine process for all those who re-enter.  Maintain at least small arms on every individual (think Swiss Militia).  Barbed wire along tops of walls.

Diversion fireworks and small base manned by quick reaction squad that can respond to attack, divert zombies from main settlement, and run recon. Put people on rotation.

Improve construction site security.

Anti-vehicle barriers and BETTER vehicles. Their vehicles suck. Commercial Drones with Go-Pro's would be very helpful even with limited 20 minute flight time.

I think Morgan's Ninja skills actually made some sense. They explained how Michonne learned to use a sword in that it was just her and the walkers all day everyday. Same thing for Morgan he's been moving alone through the same ground Rick and company have been covering. He would have had a lot of practice swinging that stick.

Like SilentType said Morgan wasn't all that different from the Wolves when we last saw him. He was robbing who ever came into his area and it would be safe to assume he killed a few. I think his "every life is precocious" line was the theme of the show. It seemed to tie in to Glenn not killing Nicholas and to Father Gabriel's suicide attempt.

Nicholas has at least one kid and possibly a wife. That complicates things for Glenn. He wants to stay at ASZ, if he kills Nicholas then he will be living side by side with a kid who's father he killed. Kinda awkward.

Father Gabriel was going to feed himself to a walker with a noose around it's neck. A guy who hung himself came back as a walker and was feeding on a live human being when Gabriel walked up. That suicide cost another person their life and almost killed Gabriel.

What I didn't understand was what the wolves gain by trapping people? Seems pretty elaborate for what they are getting. Some of the time people trip the trap they are just going to get killed by walkers. If Morgan didn't come along all they would have gotten for their trouble is two men in car and one still has a revolver. Not seeing the upside.

>insert some stupid cliché saying about some men wanting to watch the world burn<

It is pretty retarded. I was hoping the wolves would be better. The two, who confronted Morgan, didn't have a gun (though the "stay still" thing was clever). As you mentioned, their traps wouldn't gain them much--supplies at most, but there would also be a mess of either eaten survivors or dead zombies. And, their kill everyone mentality is pretty stupid. I was imagining that they would be building a harem and choosing those who would add to the strength of the group. They didn't question Morgan at all. They just set out to kill him. What if he were a surgeon, doctor, mechanic, engineer, machinist, electrician, plumber, k9 trainer, former mil., etc.? They would never know.

So I rewatched it hoping I'd like the finale, maybe I missed something... Nope, still disappointing. Wow, he killed a guy he should have a long time ago... And it took 90 minutes to get there... Great.

I thought it was easily one of the best episodes.

I've had lots of people tell me the same and I just don't see it. I just don't see what was so great about it.

OK, I went back and rewatched the finale. There are a few beats that are virtually 1:1 to the comics. Yes they took the story in a different direction, but a few of the scenes were virtually identical.

And am I the only one who got this vibe from Deeeeeeeana?

Can you imagine being stuck in Los Angeles during Zombie Apocalypse?

Hold on let me push my bullet button.  Hold on need to reload, again.  10 MILLION+ possible walkers and lawlessness in that area? No thanks.

It would be a rippling wave of zombie locusts that eminate out from LA to the north, south, and east for miles and miles destroying anyone and anything in it's path.
