I have a friend/co-worker that trained and worked with this guy in the past. I was with him when we heard about this on the radio. He was absolutely shocked and said he felt sick.
http://www.komonews.com/news/local/King-County-sheriffs-deputy-arrested-booked-into-jail-263857601.html?tab=video&c=y SEATTLE -- A King County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested Thursday on suspicion of helping his wife start a prostitution business, as well as stealing ammunition from the Sheriff's Office firing range and dabbling in a number of illegal drugs. |

Enterprising little piggy , aint he .
He should have all sorts of buddies already in GenPop |

That's a lot of ammo and 19000 pounds of brass? How many Dillon 750s does he own?.

Yeah, this is a bad deal... He had a solid reputation in the industry as well. He duped a lot of people with his apparent double life. Some pretty fucked up allegations...

He was a fixture in USPSA matches here in the NW for a while. I've seen him at some of the larger matches, talked to him and some of the guys he ran with, never squadded with him though.
If I recall, he said he was the Entry guy on his team. |

It looks to me that King County Sheriff's dept has a problem. Seems to be lots of unsupervised deputies messing with the hookers.

I wonder if he knew he was going to be such a wonderful person after filling out 30 pages of personal history?

Need more details on the hooker wife thing. That sounds more interesting than stealing ammo or drugs.

I've shot USPSA matches with him, always seemed like a squared away dude. But that dated to 2010, not any contact lately. Just goes to show you never really know people.
Read the whole charging document. Funny how the guys he worked closely with at the range "had no idea this was happening" on the ammo thing. Uh huh, I believe you...... |

Here is a non leo story, about 40 guys are going to probably go to jail locally for scamming Coal Companies. They were participating in a scam where people would send bills to several companies for work and equipment that was never done and then a co-conspirator at the company would push the payment through and get a kick back. The number of participants at one company was so large there was a concern that the company would have to shut down until all the fired manager, supervisors, and workers would be replaced., thus screwing all the workers and sub-contractors who were not involved in the thefts out of their jobs. How all those clowns thought they were going to get away with that once if there was an audit or even the simplest accounting review I will never know. Someone asking a few questions and reviewing the records would have caught those guys, and apparently did. |

Someone asking a few questions and reviewing the records would have caught those guys, and apparently did. This guy got away with it for at least 7 years and probably longer but that was when they changed their accounting practices for ammo. If his wife never bitched to her friend who turned him in and then the wife never told the investigators about the drug dealing and pimping he would have likely never been caught. I'd like to know what happened to all his guns he made disappear before they served the search warrant that he was tipped off about. Some of his guns have to be easy to link to the stolen ammo since the businesses kept such good receipts. Just checking the receipts and 4473s should show which guns were bought with the stolen ammo making them not only the proceeds of crime but also evidence whoever has them is concealing. I'd bet my left nut some of those guns are in other officer's safes and should be seized. ETA: Putting his drug supplier up in a condo he owned while making his wife and mother of his children whore herself out and pay for her own place was quite the classy move. It really showed where his loyalties lied. |

Did anyone on the PD look at this guy and think maybe he was on steroids? If the police don't notice their fellow officers are involved in crimes, how can they be trusted to solve any crimes?
|

Crazy thing for me is the guy basically has the greatest job in the world (Full time team on entry) and he pissed it away. I kinda wonder what his wife looked like, making 2k a weekend 'escorting'.
As for people condemning the other team members saying they have to have known about the ammo/brass issue it depends. A SWAT team is given a lot of ammo to practice. Especially a full time team. A guy could easily walk off with a few hundred rounds here a few thousand rounds there and it would go unaccounted for. As for the brass I'm assuming they were lax in how that was handled. Some departments sell it. Some throw it away. If they didn't have set procedure of collecting/selling brass and he did it on its own..... All in all pretty freaking shady. Best job ever and he pisses it away. Quoted:

View Quote Should police be able to profile people on the streets based on race, stereotypes, etc.? Probably not. Its highly effective but is frowned upon. Same goes for steroids. I know at least half a dozen police officer who everyone swears are on roids. Funny thing is they get 'random drug tests' much more frequently then any other officers. I know 2 of them well and its not uncommon for them to have 2-3 workouts per day. I know a guy who'll literally stop by his gym for a 'quick' workout any time he's driving past and isn't in a rush. Everyone claims roids but the guy has literally put 2-3 hours a day in the gym for 10+ years and has an impeccable diet. |

Though, if they suspect his fellow deputies using, they're going to drug test them all and that shit is detectable for a long time. Even the pimping of his wife is meh IMO if it was mutual and they were both cool with it. It's the theft of government property, narcotic drug distribution, and that fucked up text message that are the big ones for me. |

Maybe. Its a team of 21 guys who get paid to train, shoot, and respond to callouts. Assuming he's the head firearms instructor and is also in charge of ammo it wouldn't be hard to 'cook the books'. You do realize a team of 21 guys can easily go through 10k rounds in a single day (7hr) of training? (1hr lunch break). All he has to do is fudge some paperwork and add an extra range day per month that didn't happen and boom, 40k rounds in 5 months gone and nobody notices. |
