Found this hunting Easter eggs with my kiddo. Looks like the Easter Bunny subcontracted out to a mama mallard. That's a full dozen eggs!

We named the mama Sally. If we ever see the dad, his name is Henry. I am going to get my kid to make a duck diary and take a pic a day once they hatch.

ETA - the dumb bird nested right next to the house in the front yard behind some bushes.

Set up a web cam or other camera so they can observe less intrusively and probably get to see more activity.

Bought a cheapy game cam. This way we can bug the mama less for picture. Not sure if it has the features that I want, but I will experiment by putting it in my bedroom for a day and see if the pics it takes turn out ok. Once they hatch I'll post updates.

Kiddo is keeping a diary. With the game came we may be able to track how often/long she egg sits.
