My boss gave me this old rusty side by side, perfect for a wall hanger! But through the rust I can't tell what brand it may be.
Any ideas?

No idea who the maker is, but if it were me I'd be setting up an electrolysis tub in the garage.
ETA: For cosmetic reasons only, not in hopes of actually firing the thing. |

probably an old late 1800's Belgian made piece....clean it up and look for Belgian proofs on the barrel and receiver where they close-up

Side lever reminds me of Hopkins and Allen.
No idea for sure, though. Several hardware stores of the period had their own brands. Sears. JC Penny, Monkey Wards. |

It's usually the extractor that rusts solid on these old doubles......trying to force the action open with that frozen guarantees things will get broken.........
take off the fore-end first, soak the extractor area and pivot points in Kroil, then get back to us in a few days.... |
