I was lamenting this in another thread yesterday.  Thanks to its heritage, English is a rich and diverse language with so many words to express our ideas.  Its vocabulary is one of, if not the, largest.  There is no reason that the definition for "ethnic cleansing" should be so broad as to include the Holocaust and a stupid Washington school trying to increase the percentage of minorities on campus.  It's ridiculous.  Likewise, calling this terrorism cheapens the word.  What do we call 9/11 now?  Super-terrorism?

Who are you to question the epistomological wizardry of a valid representative of democracy?

Being able to question representatives is the whole point of our system.
Sounds to me like Harry Reid is representing the Federal machine, and not his constituents.
That says everything I need to know.

If someone can make it hot, I cant:

Bundy Neighbor Interview

That narrows it down to about 3,000 different decisions.  Can you narrow it down to the approximate year or petitioner?

Make chart or someshit. I've seen your work in the MH370 thread.

It's a comparable search area.

Have you been to their site?  There's a "Search" feature, but wouldn't you know - it doesn't work.  Slow work searching for petitioners named Bundy or Gardner.

I found about 15 different IBLA decisions on the desert tortoise through a google search, but none of those decisions seemed germane to what Mr. Gardner was talking about.

In the meantime, if you would like a graph, I can create a graph showing my respect for the desert tortoise as a function of time.
If this latest revelation is true about the desert tortoise eating cow poop, I just lost a lot of respect for this animal, and the y-axis is going to need to be fucking logarithmic.

At times I have been caught up in the finite details of this incident. While the details are important, it seems we are losing sight of the forest through the trees.

Bundy himself has said this isn’t about his cows. There are valid points on both sides, but we owe Mr. Bundy and his family credit for drawing a lot of attention to the much larger issues we face.

For me, the recent incident at the Bundy Ranch is not about cattle. It is not about turtles. It isn’t about grazing fees or land access.

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.” Benjamin Franklin

From an article by Jonathan Turley, Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University and has testified before Congress on the dangerous expansion of presidential powers.

In the summer of 1787, a crowd gathered around Independence Hall to learn what type of government their representatives had formed for the new nation. When Benjamin Franklin walked out of the Constitutional Convention, Mrs. Powel could wait no longer. Franklin was one of the best known of the "Framers” working on the new US Constitution. Powel ran up to Franklin and asked, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin turned to her and said what are perhaps the most chilling words uttered by any Framer.

He said, "A republic, Madam, if you can keep it.”

Franklin’s words were more than a boast. They were a warning. The curious thing about a democratic system is that it contains the seeds of its own demise. Freedom is not something guaranteed by any parchment or promise. It is earned by each generation which must jealously protect it from threats, not only from outside, but from within a nation.
Damn straight....

Assumption.  Does BLM have a history of Waco/RR style incidents?  Because if so, they're really really good at keeping them quiet.

No one had a history of Waco style incidents til Waco happened.

Did not stop it from happening.

Other than Ruby Ridge a few months before and the dozens of people killed in ATF raids on the wrong house.

OH, lets not forget the bonus army in 1937 when MacArthur raided the camp of 10,000 and burned it to the ground,

I do believe they were on public land.  If you don't know the story...check it out.

Things I have learned in this thread:

1. The National Science Foundation has armed agents with arrest authority - and I want be one of them when I grow up.
2. For $32, I can purchase the right to graze my goat on a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier - what color vest should he wear?
3. I really hate the search feature on the Department of the Interior website

I just find it odd that the feds can waste a million bucks chasing cattle in the desert that are Illegal and not try to arrest 1 illegal person crossing the border.

as time goes on.

Bundy's getting the bill for the 1 million, IIRC, so the Feds aren't wasting anything.

Because sending him a bill has worked so well in the past

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare
Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty
Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt
Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control
Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare
Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)

6) Education
Take control of what people read and listen to ? take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion
Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools

8) Class Warfare
Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

[div style='margin-left: 40px;']"When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.” Benjamin Franklin

The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State.” James Madison

How much of the history of this situation do you think they know?

Next week all units will be going to Middleofnowhere NV. Your job will be security cover for contractors tasked with rounding up cattle that are trespassing on federal land.

We have a court order authorizing this. Threats have been made against anyone attempting to serve this lawful order of the court.

The operation is expected to last 7 to 10 days. Standard load out gear. Here is your reporting structure. See you next week.

So here are the enemies of the people.  They look like they are ready to follow orders no matter how misguided.  So much for LEO won't follow orders against the people.

At least we know what it will look like when it is our turn and we have broken some new rule or regulation they have made up.

I have lost a whole level of respect for any .gov employee / LEO.  What were they really prepared to do?

A lot of truth with what Bama said.  Some of the protestors talked to 'agents' that were brought in and some (perhaps many) of them didn't know why or, what, until they found out from the protestors.  From what the protestors said, those agents they talked to got rather uncomfortable with being there.

Yeah???  I found out today half the stuff I was looking up and posting, is included in an info war video.

Yeah, well, infowars.com isn't going to tell me what color vest my goat needs to wear on the deck of an operating super carrier.

green, Photographer's Mate; a goat can carry photo gear, positive of that, seen photos of goats carrying rifles and stuff on arfcom

Nothing will come of it.

The New Iron Triangle

So, what is all this “iron triangle” business?   Consider the current twist of history, one in which we are all stuck.  What if the Senate Majority Leader acts contrary to law and the Attorney General refuses to investigate him, recognizing that this could open a counter-measure, namely impeachment?  What if that same Attorney General’s actions warrant impeachment, but the Senate Majority Leader refuses to act – since this could place him in jeopardy of investigation?  What if a President -- who hires and fires Attorney Generals – is suspected of abuse, for example: persecuting opponents through the Internal Revenue Service, suppressing material facts on national security (such as Benghazi and information collection), or clamping down unconstitutionally on individual liberties – but the Attorney General allows such abuses to slide, protecting his own job?  You have an “iron triangle” of unaccountability.

I've been up hills before and the Good Lord has brought me down safely...I'm not afraid to go up another one....

Good- hopefully this whole mess amounts to nothing more than Dirty Harry panicking over the end of his career and his heading to jail.  I detest what our federal government has be come I don't want the uprising to start in my county

Any Firefighters her to explain this graphic?

The fire tetrahedron represents the addition of a component, the chemical chain reaction, to the three already present in the fire triangle. Once a fire has started, the resulting exothermic chain reaction sustains the fire and allows it to continue until or unless at least one of the elements of the fire is blocked.

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare (check)

Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty (check)

Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt (check)

Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control

Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare (check)

Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)

6) Education (check)

Take control of what people read and listen to ? take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion (check)

Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools

8) Class Warfare (check)

Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Picture graphic to go along with this. If one leg can be taken away or somehow eliminated   problem solved,  It has to be done within the law though. What we have going for us is there is no honor among theives. one of them will break just got to figure out how to do it within the law.

Quite the treatise.  Spot on.  Join date noted.  Well done.

More like you go home today and find a notice in your mail that to use the interstate that you take to work, you must pay an outrageous fee and it has been restricted to bicycles only due to environmental concerns.
You fight it in court and lose.
You keep going to work in your car everyday and say "Fuck those fines and fuck that over reaching government".

Then one day the government shows up with guns to take everything you have to pay your fines.
Everyone calls you a freeloader, because they naively believe that government is there to help them.
Of course they're too stupid to understand that your way of life is gone and your children's future has been sacrificed to the false god of progress.

Your neighbors sold their bicycle rights long ago because they couldn't fight the tyranny.
Now with everyone gone the highway is vacant.
Years later, a crooked politician takes a bribe and has the rules changed again to allow a Chinese trucking company to use it to haul Kung Pao Chicken to the masses.

Nailed it!

Yup

Best summation I have heard.

They weren't going to raid anything.  Just round up the cattle that were on BLM lands and demo the water stations.

The full-on SWAT raid is exactly what Bundy wants, and BLM is going to avoid something like this at all costs.  Bundy has alluded to this for 16+ years.  He's basically worked out this template that makes him volatile enough to frighten people, but not quite enough for the local authorities to arrest him for threats.

I will not watch any video of Madcow.  Won't do it.

Ok, never say never, because I never thought I'd agree with anything pontificated by Madcow, but I tend to agree with aspects of what's written above.

The parallels to Waco and Ruby Ridge come from Cliven Bundy, himself.  Signed, no less.

He writes to letters to the Sheriff's Office stating that he's in fear of his and his family's lives if BLM shows up, requesting demanding sheriff's deputy protection ... and then has 52 of his grandchildren show up?

Add to that the eye opening statements by Richard Mack, and the writing is on the wall.  Mack isn't a nobody.  As horrified as I was to hear Mack say what he said, and then double down on his statements in subsequent radio interviews, I'm glad that FNC broadcast his statements because sunlight can be a very good disinfectant.

The more Cliven and some of his supporters talk the more they look like loons.

Yep.  They're starting to sound more and more like the Freemen of Montana.

At this point it's only a matter of time.  As soon as someone in his group shoots an LEO, it's over for Bundy.
