How long is one evening? 4 hours? 3-6 hours ? That's only 1-2 drinks an hour. how so? That's 12 ounces of booze? You must make em strong My typical drink probably has three shots of alcohol. |

Before I became a Mormon I could drink 750 mL of Jim Beam in an evening. Becoming a Mormon most likely saved your life. I hope you got one of those nice Mormon women in the deal. Hey, the buy should get several WIVES. That's the deal right??? |
Quoted: with ease 375 ml is around 9 shots that would make most guys plenty drunk if you blasted them right down, but over an evening that 's no big deal correct. 375ml is slightly over 10 standard 1 1/4 oz portions of 80 proof spirits––the equivalent of 10 normal beers. edit: obviously, a 750 is just over 20 standard alcohol portions, and a liter is just over 27. |

Looking at the responses in this thread, and in the Funny Drunk Stories thread, I have come to the conclusion that Arfcom should have a kegger, one gigantic kegger, which I believe, would have such epic after stories, there would be movies made out of it ala Beerfest and Animal Hosue If all of ARFCOM had a kegger it would most likely turn into an armed take over of everything. After all mass quantities of booze make me an instant expert on everything and we are ARFCOM after all. |
No problem. It helps to have some food. A better question is ''Can you drink a liter?"

Yes. I've drank over a liter of vodka per night a few times during college. I don't recommend it though. 3/4 of a bottle would make me stagger-slurry drunk then I'd wake up around 3:30 cold sober and with a hideous headache Vodka never gave me a hangover or made me sick. I would always mix it with Mt. Dew and drank it like Koolaid. So I was really hyped up all night. Made things even more interesting. |

Haven't had vodka in forever...
Had 8 Liters of beer in Munich last Saturday...which is apparently a couple beers short of a case. So...sure. (Took til Tuesday to feel like moving much, though...) |

No problem. It helps to have some food. A better question is ''Can you drink a liter?" I do it once or twice a month of a Friday evening. Buy a handle on the way home Friday and wake up, bright eyed and bushy tailed ~7:00 AM Saturday morning with much less than half of it left. Back in my "heavy drinking" days I could do much more, much more often. I don't normally get "hung over" unless I've been on vacation and hitting it heavy for a few days. In general I don't drink that often but, when I do, I make up for the infrequency with volume. |
In my college days that was just a warm up. These days still doesn't seem like much but I don't drink all that much any more.
On my 21st I did 19 shots, nothing under 100 proof in less then 2 hours. I was shooting for 21 but I knew my limit. I also ran 4 miles in football practice the next day |
Considering that at one point in my life I was drinking a fifth of Stoli and a 12 pack a night, yeah, I could have done it then. Now? Maybe.
375 ML = 375000000 L and I would not be living if I tried that, I could probably do 375 mL in an evening.
Easily and I'm not much of a drinker.
I would mix it of course. |
Me and my bud drink anywhere from 750-1000ml of cheap Scotch between us every time there is a Sprint cup race, Super Bowl, World Series, or just a good college game. And we drink it neat. So yeah, no problem.

I used to drink that much whiskey every night no problem. I'm glad I don't anymore
I think I've done double that but lost track after my second bottle (more than once). Never get into a drinking competition with Ukrainians and if you do, make sure you have control of the camera.

That's the first google hit I got, and it agrees with everything else I can find, as well as pretty much every bar I've drank at in the US. 1.5 fluid ounces = 45 mL What Is Considered One Serving of Alcohol?
The actual serving size for an alcoholic beverage depends on the type of drink. A standard drink is any drink that contains 0.6 fluid ounces of pure alcohol. This is equal to: 12 ounces of a beer or wine cooler 8-ounces of malt liquor 5 ounces of table wine 1.5 ounces of 80 proof distilled spirits such as gin, vodka, whiskey, etc. ETA: Notice that if you do the math, that's 5% beer, 12% wine and 7.5% malt liquor. |

No. I don't drink much anymore. Two or three drinks in an evening is usually my limit.

Lot of liver transplant potential here! College guys may go on to run companies or even government. No wonder we're so fucked up as a country.
Lots of typical Arfcom bull shit testosterone flowing here too. More than two drinks a night and you're asking for trouble somewhere down the line. That's been my limit for most of my adult life.......74yrs. I have an extremely high tolerance for alcohol and could probably drink most of a liter bottle of 80 proof in 4-5 hrs. but I won't! |

Every so often you see a news story about some idiot who died of alcohol poisoning because he bet someone he could chug a bottle of jack or whatever.
Don't be that guy. Look up "LD50" and ponder it's meaning. |

No problem. I have seen 100lb'ish. women do it on multiple occasions and keep on partying.

You'd have the hop heads in one corner protecting their 105 IBU Imperial Stout like rabid dogs. One group discussing the merits of a Highland scotch verses the saltiness of an Islay scotch. People correcting each other on whether whisky should be spelled with a y or ey, single malt or blend. And they'd all be sneering at the one guy who dared bring the 36 pack of Bud Light in a can. |

yes, and i'd enjoy it ice cold with a wedge of lime, if you don't mind.
