My KO's did better on the hard packed stuff but not as good getting up the mountain, in the deep snow, to my house. But thats to be expected. Im starting to consider gearing now that i moved up to 33's. Its not that bad with the 6speed and 3.73's but it could be better. View Quote Nice.... My wife sold her CR-V and got an 01 XJ and we built it up for her... (well continued the build from the PO) She's looking at bumpers now... 4.10's for your 33's 4.56 if you are considering 35's ever. I just went from 4.10 to 4.88 and I could not be happier.... |

View Quote Yeah, I was pretty impressed with my KM2's when I took them up north last weekend. Especially in the soft stuff. No pics, I kinda got distracted when it decided it wouldn't start. I'd figured the starter had gone kaput (we push started it), but it fires up fine now when back in Phoenix. I'm gonna rebuild it anyway, but it's an odd one. |

We have another with 4" of lift and 33" Gumbo Mudders that we own together for mud runs. We also have another 5 or 6 for parts. They're about the cheapest, buildable off road vehicles around IMHO. Most of them we have have been bought off Craiglsist for less than $1000 and driven home. We run '96-'98 models as everything interchanges. I know everyone likes the 4.0's but we run 318's because we like the power. Most of the 318's have Quadratrac, so we swap in Selectrac part time transfer cases out of 4.0 models. |

You always want to keep your drag link and track bar parallel. The Rough Country long arm lift drops the track bar but doesn't come with a drop pitman arm. My buddy's has a Rusty's long arm lift and it came with both. I liked the way his drove better than mine, so I added the Rusty's pitman arm to mine. I'm hoping mine does well after alignment. It seems better just in what little bit I've drove it while working on it. 35" tires are really pushing the limits on these ZJ's. |
