In case you guys hadn't seen one of my shooting sponsors, Nordic Components has a couple new versions of their trusty .22lr upper on the market.  I picked up a 9.25" version and added a suppressor.  I've only put s few hundred rounds through the new one but if it's better then the original is gonna be awesome.  I've prolly run 10k through my old one and although I can't say it's never had a jam because a bad .22lr round always jams eventually the upper has been headache free.  This new suppressed SBR has already become my favorite toy in my safe.

Hell I hadn't had this much fun since I found the key to dads ammo cabinet when he was away in desert storm and I burned up all 20,000 rounds of his .22 ammo in my old Nylon 76 & 66.  YeeHaw!

I have a 7% off discount code good on anything Nordic makes too.  Shoot me an email or PM for a code.

I have the JPNC22 and DMPS 22 rifles I use for rimfire 2-gun and both use the older nordic bolt system
both run better than most 10/22's I've competed against
it looks like Nordic changed there bolt or its now coated differently (if you could show some pictures of the bolt that would be cool)

here are my 2 Nordic JP/DMPS guns

DMPS 22 by John Hermesmeyer, on Flickr

2-gun setup by John Hermesmeyer, on Flickr

the DMPS I re-profiled the barrel to a pencil thickness and and weighs a little over 6 libs. The JP is setup like my centerfire rifle and well weights a little more

last thing what magwell thing are you using?

It's a GB Customs magwell from shooters source.  I had to remove it though as it interfered with the seating of the drum mags.

Hey Jesse I sold my JPNC22 since it was heavy as fuck and want to get that Nordic upper/reprofile the barrel and shot a lightweight upper in 2-gun
I noticed that though the new upper is slab sided and does away with un-nessassary shit it looks overly thick
is it noticeably heavier than the older upper?

The upper receiver maybe a few ounces heavier but mine is an SBR so it weighs nothing.  The JP was heavy because all of their hand guards are soooo thick.  The nc22 hand guard is slim like those narrow Midwest industries types
