Hit 160 strict press yesterday which was nice. I've hit that before, but never so easy. Also, started keto May 1, bodyweight 113kg. Did a 24 hour fast, then started with eggs and cream and spinach. It'll probably cost me my race to 500 but I am too fat, it's gotta be making my hormones worse. My levels are already so low, I doubt keto will make them any worse. Carbs certainly haven't done me any favors.
Every time I've done this I've had excellent results. I normally can get nice and lean but still strong, then be good for a year or so re-integrating healthier foods. That's my goal, we'll see what happens. When I hit 105kg I'll see where everything is. This time around, after maybe two weeks or so, because my workouts are more predictable, I think I am going to consume some carbohydrate before working out, the ooooooole TKD, which I'm hoping will encourage muscle growth and maybe blunt that hormone hit a little. We'll see, but I gotta lose weight. |

In on the therex keto bandwagon. I'm fat and weak.
Wifey and I organized the lifting area Saturday and actually lifted last night. |

For someone that isn't getting any caffeine in my diet currently, what is a good pre-workout to take? I've only ever taken BCAA pre-workout.

Not sure if I should be afraid or not. C4 may come in today since Amazon is just across the Kansas border from me, I am going to hold my morning workout until lunch in hopes it does.

Alright, I took about a half a scoop with one as the recommended. It is wearing off now, so about a 2-2.5 hours of effectiveness.
I was going to work up to 425 on deadlift and see how many reps I could get. I accidentally put on 455 because who has time to add when your veins and eyes are popping out? I managed to get three reps before I felt my form started to breakdown. Toss up on if I could have gotten a 4th. Definitely had the energy. One negative is my neck started to cramp fairly bad after doing shrugs. Still kind of bothering me. Definitely feel I should have been taking a pre workout since I have been off of all caffeine. I had energy through my entire workout. |

Second day on PWO. I did a half scoop again and the effect was not near as strong as yesterday. I'll have to kick it up to 3/4 scoop tomorrow.
I am back over 300 on bench. 305 today at somewhere between 177 and 182 bw. My OHP is still weak compared to what others can seem to get up. I may go back to push press. |

Would you declare God guilty to justify yourself?

FWIW, the few things that helped my OHP in the last 1.5 years is volume, double stimulation, and incline bench presses. Using the SlingShot to overload on benching probably didn't hurt tricep work, either.
For example: 1. Day 1 - 5/3/1 OHP 2. Day 2 - within 24 hours of day 1, do: a) 5x10 OHP at 50-70% intensity (start at 50%, and increment 5% each workout) or b) 3x5 or 3x8 incline presses, linear progression You can alternate 2a and 2b every other week. You could also do 5/3/1 pyramid or First Set Last on Day 1 for extra volume. I'm at 241# 1 RM now, but shooting for 255 by end of 2017, at a BW of 200. |
