I put a set of Magnas from World Wide Grips in Thailand, and a BK Grips grip adapter on my Model 28-2. It previously had a set of Herrett's Shooting Stars but since I have small hands wanted to try something different. They feel good while dry firing but of course live fire will be the acid test. They fit the gun well and are nicely made.
Attached File Attached File Also, I ordered them on 8/21 and they came today. Not bad for DHL and then USPS, from Thailand. |

Has anyone else come across Silvercreek yet? It slipped past me during the annual SHOT coverage threads I guess. Probably the most radical departure from the DA revolver archetype since the Chiappa. Fixed frame DA with gain twist rifling, 100% U.S. manufacturer. Not my cup of tea, but interesting nonetheless. These would've been a game changer in the heyday of IHMSA.

why is the S&W model 67 not searchable by model on gunbroker? it shows 66 and then right to 686. Is there a minimum number of active auctions going on to show it as a model option?

I’m really tempted to spend too much and buy a Manurhin MR73.
But right now I’m content enough to buy Uberti brand single actions. May splurge on a blued 5” or 7” Schofield in .45LC. |

Since putting new grips on my Model 28 I decided that I want to pack it in the woods. For me, the US M3 shoulder holster is the most comfortable way to do so. I have one from the now-defunct Pacific Canvas and Leather that fits K-Frames and my Ruger Police Service Six, but is too small for an N-Frame. So, 10 days ago I ordered a 1942 Tanker holster from El Paso Saddlery and it arrived today.
Yes, I'm a southpaw. Attached File It's nice with high quality leather, hardware, and stitching. EPS threw in the key fob. |

Picked these two up last week.
64 that's had the bbl shortened and the hammer bobbed. The older Pachmayrs were cracked and pretty beat up, so I put this new(er) set on. The 686-4 is really in great shape and looks like it's not been fired much at all. I put these older Eagle round-butt conversion grips on it because I loved the grain. I'll try them both out at the range later on today. Attached File Attached File |
