Hard to tell at UGA. New coach, top prospect freshman QB. Could be a tough year or one for the record books. Our schedule isn't terribly difficult this year however. And you're gonna start 0-1. Um. No. Thanks for playing though. Basketball starts much later than football. |

Let's get started. What is your prediction for your team's record and who will beat them? View Quote Should start 2-0, then Oregon at home will be a tough one to get. Should then win the next four. Then on the road at Wisconsin, next week on the road at Ohio State. I could see winning one, probably Wisconsin. I don't see winning both, or winning at Ohio State, unless they are in a tough rebuilding year. Last three games should be wins, kinda depends on what shape Iowa is in. Unless we repeat last year and drop games that we should have gotten. So, maybe 9-3, possibly 10-2, far outside chance of 11-1. |

Not sure how OU will do this year.
They got some needed depth which was their downfall last year, but they are somewhat green. The spring game defense was solid though, so hoping for good things. RBs were incredibly impressive, the best I have seen since AP. |
|
ESPN said Wisconsin should be 7-5 this year. I'm surprised, because we should be better this year. Last year, the team really outperformed, overcoming issues with O-line, injuries, etc. An paper, the only serious loss from last year is the defensive coordinator (you're welcome, LSU). The QB play should be as good or better. I'm not saying we're going to win the division, but it should be a solid year. At least we have Nebraska & OSU at home - night games at Camp Randall. Starting the B!G season at MSU, at Michigan and hosting OSU - ouch!
I feel better about this year's season opener than last year. BTW, the mediocre QB who singlehandedly lost the Iowa game last year signed a free agent NFL contract. |

Looks like another tough year for my beloved Tigers. We open with Clemson and finish with bama. In between those we also have LSU, Ole Miss & Georgia. Barring a last second upset, or a miracle of some sorts, there's 5 probable losses right there.

While that is five potential losses.....it can easily also be five wins if things go well for them and they decide to play four full quarters. |

How's this for a cupcake schedule? http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac92/WDEagle79/20161.jpg View Quote Yeah, it's a cupcake. But I don't think Boise State is really going to have any chance at the final four. Even if they went 12-0 EDIT: That said, I see three potential losses on that schedule....two of them being "back-to-back" |

Pender released from FSU team
He was a great running back. Emphasis on "was". Not sure he ever came back from that collapsed lung he suffered last year. Oh well, don't matter now. Glad they kicked him off. Edit: spoke to my source....he'll be lucky to avoid a felony and plea to a misdemeanor if he's lucky enough to have it offered. Chances are they won't and make an example. He's done. No NFL career for him. Good boot. Don't need shit heads like that on the team. |

Oh, they'll complain for sure, but they'll have no business doing so. You can't have a schedule like that and expect people to think it's equal to other Power5 lineups. The schools that have the weak schedules in their conference do/or should go out of their way to schedule OOC games that are more difficult. Look at FAU. That said......bad news Miami......I had this really weird dream that FAU beat Miami at home this year. After last year.....it definitely COULD happen |

Both of those guys had a great future in front of them.............but both will have to suffer the consequences of those actions. Damned stupid to throw away the opportunity they had.........

Bama related:
Tom Brokaw gave a commencement speech at the University of Mississippi and tossed in a jab at The University of Alabama which naturally caused some social media outrage from that esteemed institution and its fans. http://www.redcuprebellion.com/2016/5/16/11682622/ole-miss-tom-brokaw-commencement-alabama-fans-are-babies-roll-damn-tide I find this response the most comical.
