Idiot paid for it with his life and damaged a little girl in the process.
A full size UZI is cake to shoot. Those micros are a bear even for an adult. What on Earth would make anyone think it was a good idea to hand a little kid something like that? Damn, that really pisses me off. |

There's a full auto shop up in bumfuckegypt that is dolan springs. They try to get the vegas tourists coming down to the dam. And the "instructor" is from LHC. lol there aren't any instructors up there. I may know the person but the name ain't clicking any gears here. Face would help. To remember, though I suppose the same could be said for Vacca. |

Negligence pure and simple |

I feel sorry for the little girl.....the "instructor" not as much.

My kids have been shooting since they were younger than that... But I make them memorize, rehearse, and recite the safety rules on our way to the range, AND put them in practice on the line.
Former RO and NRA instructor here. And I stand within arms-reach of all new shooters, to prevent any movement or rotation while on the line. I've had enough guns pointed at me by idiots. ETA? Full-auto mini Uzi? And a nine-year-old? Jiminey Christmas.... |
They just reported it on a local A.M. radio station, said it was an UZI
Heaven forbid the instructor should start with just one cartridge.
Gotta say, if it's as presented, that was pretty stupid. |

Not an accident. Negligence. Instructor did not ensure that the girl understood the four rules before handling a loaded firearm. View Quote It was definitely negligence, and I don't think the girl was at fault at all and instead it was the instructor. You don't give a submachine gun to a 9 year-old girl without having your own hands on the weapon. It was likely a full magazine and the muzzle rose and then came in line with the instructor's head. |

There's no way I'd shoot a micro-Uzi without the stock firmly against my shoulder. Kharn |

I think we passed this place last November driving from LasVegas to the Grand Canyon. It looked like a neat place, I thought about stopping but we were tight on time.

Whether its woman, or kids, or the occasional sissy boy! I will be hands on with any firearm I think is outside a persons abilities. Until the person demonstrates ability to maintain proper control.
Not that I'm blaming anyone! It really does sound like an accident! |

Re-post from the AZ HTF-
Michelle Viscusi just linked up an edited version of the video from Fox10, you see exactly what happened leading up to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfMzK7QwfrU&feature=youtu.be Have to say it is sad all around. Not blaming the kid, not her fault she was put in that situation, but it looks like she was barely holding onto the weapon with her left hand (after the first shot or two) her left hand was completely off the weapon and the buttstock (which appears to not have been tight against her shoulder) slid down under her armpit which allowed the muzzle to flip up and to the side. |
Ridiculous. I wonder how much prior shooting experience this girl had, was she even familiar with handling recoil? Sad for the girl and instructor but very stupid to hand a child a full auto Uzi.
Just before the video ends you can see the Uzi fly out of her hands, so sad.
Still trying to figure out the mentality that thinks its funny or cool to put a full auto in a kid's hands, or a .500 in the hands of a Columbian woman, of the local redneck snickering as he gives his girlfriend a .44 Mag.
