Augustus was incredibly fortunate to have Aggripa, who was the genius behind most of his military victories, and later Germanicus, who pretty much reversed the embarrassing defeat in the Teutoberg Forest.

I don't think it was fortune so much as skill.  One of the key leadership traits at that level is being able to pick talented people because there is no way any one person can be an expert at all things.  Agrippa was from a relatively unimportant family and had initially sided with Cato against Caesar.   Yet Augustus was smart enough to recognize the talent and put him in charge.  Lincoln was much the same way, finding a couple of washed-up old drunks like Grant and Sherman.

Yes, Tywin would have been a more accurate comparison, IMO.

It's kind of hard to saw who Mark Antony would be on GoT. Maybe Jaime 1.0, Oberyn, or Bronn.

Kevin Lannister maybe.

Anxiously awaiting the new season.

Here's some Arya and Hound goodness. Ahh, the good ol' days of our youth, gallivanting around Westeros without a care

Kevin's pretty dour and a slightly nicer version of Tywin. Mark Antony parties hard and gets all the wimmenz.

Antony was Caesar's second in command similar to how Kevin was Tywin's second in command (at least after Jaime was out of the picture), but that's pretty much where the similarities end, IMO.

Yeah, Antony was charismatic, tactless, and flippant.  Kind of like a bad ass warrior frat boy.

In the regards to where he screwed up, you can compare Antony to Robb (threw it all away when they were winning because they both thought with their dicks)

Antony was much more seasoned than Robb.  I think that his relationship with Egypt was more pragmatic than anything else.  Egypt was the source of bread for Rome and whomever controlled it was in a supreme position of power.  He simply got out-maneuvered by Augustus in politics and by Agrippa in tactics.

Before this season there have only been three filming units.

The Wolf Unit

The Dragon Unit

The Raven Unit (used only for S3)

The season finale of S6 will use the recently created "White Walker Unit."  Take from that what you will.

The GoT S6 premiere is getting pushed back due to HBO's new show 'Vinyl.'

The absolute earliest the S6 premiere will air is April 24, but its possible it won't be until May.

Yes please push back the greatest HBO show of all time for some new most likely crappy show that no one cares about but you want to do well because you invested too much in it.

Speaking of the Freys:

There's a decent chance we're going to get a "Robb Stark sends his regards" scene this season.

There is a character in S6 that is described as a fat Northern lord with rugged features who makes a rousing speech and unexpectedly changes allegiances.

Book readers can probably guess who this character most likely is.

i was thinking he'd make a decent randyll tarly, but tht doesn't fit with bringing anyone back.  of course they've gone far enough off the rails at this point, they could resurrect khal drogo as coldhands and turn victarion into jack sparrow
