No, the snow in California comes from the should-be cold waters of the Bering Sea.

It may not look like it, but that's about 35 percent of your weekly meals you are looking at in those pictures.

And.....too many people in too small an area to support them. Liberals talk about sustainability, but guess what? They don't live it.

A big die off would help. Some will get by, some won't. Luckily I live in a state that provides the 2nd most of it's food from local/in state sources behind AK and we damn sure aren't running out of water in my lifetime.

Already saw where a politican floated the idea of mass relocations paid for by the US government to other parts of the country, want to see an armed proptest go ahead. It's not the farmers that fucked the water supply, too many people in too small an area. Fuck em.

OK so now that you have "Raised Awareness" and "Started a conversation".  What the hell do you think we can/should do to fix it?  It's gonna rain or it ain't.  Precious little we can do to change it.  Yes the population that continues to grow in their urban areas is using up and wasting the water resources they have.  Yes they have a drought.  What else do you want??  Not a thing anybody can do to correct it.  You can use what you have more wisely, and you could control anymore population influx.  There are your solutions,  let the farmers have what water there is and wait for rain.

Moving on now.

The first step is to realize and admit that population isn't the problem demonstrated in those pictures. The only real solution is rain, and that comes from the Bering Sea.

The majority of the ag water in California originates in California.  Only the Imperial Valley and Coachella Valley farms get water from the Colorado.

Science says climate is to. Just saw a article the other day said the California drought had happen before back in the 11th century, if I remember correctly it was in USA today so no doubt it was fact.
Yes I except that the climate changes and that man may play a part in it, BUT it is a very small part. Just as the weather changes from day to day the climate changes from year to year and decade to decade. There is no need to fear it as there is little to nothing one can do about it.

PS China and India dump far more pollution in the air than the US does, if we stopped all pollution in the US today it would be of little or no matter to the worlds pollution levels. It would be a small part of a very small effect.

A location with such a short supply of water is a poor choice for a farm. Seems like other areas known for farming have no such issue...

The past 2500 years appear to have had recurrent persistent droughts.

Prolonged drought episodes appear to correspond with the timing of ice drift minima (solar maxima) identified from North Atlantic marine sediments, suggesting that changes in solar irradiance may be a possible mechanism influencing century-scale drought in the western Great Basin.

Um, this.

The point is that .gov and the Left want to use short term changes in weather patterns to convince you that they should be able to take your money and decide how you should Iive your life.

I am sorry. That really wasn't the point of this thread. But if you just want to foam at the mouth about the Left, don't let me stop you.

It's EXACTLY the point of this thread.  Anyone who thinks this is human caused is a fool.  People trying to convince you it's human caused want you to turn over your freedom and your money TO THEM.

So other than this being a rough time for CA farmers, what do YOU think the point of this thread is?

Al Gore tried this shit.  Then he sold hit TV network to A Jazeera, supported by the  UAE and their OIL money, for hundreds of millions.  This level of hypocrisy has seldom been equaled in human history.

It's about control.  It's about Leftism.  It's about the Left finding ways to convince otherwise reasonable people to turn over power to Leftists.

Had an admittedly quick look and all I'm seeing is people talking about the Bering sea cooling at the moment.

Global warming......it's real.

actually we need more warming....so more water will evaporate into the atmosphere...and then fall from the sky as rain. This is a global cooling problem.

No, the snow in California comes from the should-be cold waters of the Bering Sea.

From watching numerous radar loops, ok really thousands, CA water comes from the warm seas in the tropics near Hawaii.  Ever heard of the Pineapple Express?

Dupe for a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe if we let them die of thirst they'll go back to Mexico...maybe then they can ask the UN for bottled water.

Fuck em.

I don't think that he's "calling for it" anymore than he's just stating the reality of the situation.

What percentage of californians actually participate in getting that food to the tables?  I would guess less than 20% possibly less than 10%.  Pare down the remaining 80% and the water problem would vanish.

California as a whole wanting everyone else to care about their crops being threatened by their own stupid over-development of arid regions is a non starter when the problem is clear.

Only 10% of CA water goes to personal usage; almost half to farmland. A population reduction would make almost no difference.

But this is arfcom, so don't let that stop you from talking out your ass.

Then farmers chose a poor area to farm.  It is what it is.  One thing it aint is my fucking fault.  California can eat a dick before the look to me for help.
