I think more people are just disappointed in how the gun turned out and the huge slap in the face when pricing was announced. IMO I believe this gun will probably never catch on because it's price point. It just doesn't give you that much more performance over a good AR15. |
|
The only thing I don't really like is the barrel, and how the stock doesn't fold. If the barrels are modular, couldn't you just buy a DD or Noveske CHF barrel and be done with it? But spending another $350 to get a proper barrel for something that already is over $2k is kinda ruhtarded, IMO.
|
|
First thing I would have done is remove and reattach the barrel.
Coolest feature on the rifle IMO. |

Just got a nice 3 shot group at 100yds using wolf lol.

Does this mean we will be deluged with threads where you stick the ACR in every place you can just like you did the SCAR? envy... Somehow I doubt that very much. Yep and Dave is spot fucking on. I'll take a Lite to go with my OBR over that plastic turd. |

Alright, who's going to be the first to drag theirs across the driveway and post pics?

hmm.. i may get an ACR when the folding stocks come out..
and the prices drop a bit.. any word on how easy it is to buy a colt pencil barrel, or any 14.7''+pinned FH and change out the barrel/gas system to another barrel, or is it heavily modified? |

Man, the lack of a folding stock on that rifle is just a CRIME!
Look, it even has the hardware points for the hinge! A slap in the face. |

Would love to see some detailed comparison pics of the SCAR/ACR bolt, bolt carrier group, internal receiver rails and fire control group. The ACR basic hand guard is much thicker than I had imagined it. Seeing it next to the SCAR really gives me some more perspective.
Only thing I'd swap on the SCAR for the ACR is the boot stock but even that I can live with. |
|
Nice. I like the SCAR styling more than the ACR though
I just wish MI would allow SBRs, because the SCAR looks dead sexy with the barrel just barely peeking out from the handguard. |
|
Looks solid. When other ACR models come out will the parts interchange?

We don't give a shit about your new pile. I bet the next rifle he'll make 10 threads and 500 posts about will be that 308 kel tec bullpup IT MUST BE GOOD BCUZ I PAYED ALMOST 3K FOR IT AMIRITE???// Quoted:
That's like buying a Ford Focus for $50,000. It might be a nice gun, and it may work well and have great features... but it's just not worth the coin, IMHO. Couldn't of said it better myself. You now have a rifle slightly less reliable than a Galil Golani, for 5x the price. Good job, op. For slightly less than what you've blown on your SCAR and ACR, this is what I spent my money on... http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb141/TheColdTruth/HPIM1909.jpg Or he could keep what he's got and actually shoot it. Nice set up Ghetto. |

Here's a project for you.
Take the handguard off the ACR and (if it will fit, probably have to remove the side rails) slide it onto the SCAR. Just for appearances... and take a pic. |
|
To me, it doesn't make too much sense to have a MASSIVE fixed stock with zero storage capacity or room for an integral cleaning kit, especially on a modern EBR....especially one that costs that much.
But to each their own, that's why the free market is as it is. |
|
Nice rifle. I doubt I ever get one. Although a SCAR is on my dream gun list, a SCAR-H to be exact. Good luck with it.
