+1 - a live person answers then transfers to VM.

I'm confused, does this mean that if I got an Indiana Non-Resident Permit I could carry in Illinois?

Here is how I understand it... please correct me if I am wrong.

If the state allows any CCW... i.e. they are either a "shall issue" or "may issue" state, they will have to accept your CCW. Only states that prohibit all forms of CCW will be allowed to preclude you from exercising your CCW. The only recourse that states like CA, IL, and NY will have is to ban all CCW or pass laws to restrict where CCWs can be carried... and any laws passed in this regard would have to apply equally to all CCW permit holders.

I called they asked me my state and they transfered me to Barack Obama's office, I still told them I supported the bill. The guy on the other end said thanks and he would pass it along. Maybe that isn't the right phone number?

Doesn't this go against a State's right to self govern? I'm all for Nationwide carry, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Oh good grief.  Since when does any state have the right to ignore the Bill of Rights.  Since some do anyway, this is a chance to partially alleviate that crap.

I guess our driver's licenses should not be recognized by other states, huh.

I can't beleive I missed this one! Would calling tomorrow be too late, or have less of an effect? I assume we'll be reporting next Tuesday as with the past fire missions?

And BUMP!!!!

I called this morning. The lady that answered didn't give me the chance to record a message, just said "thanks" and that was it.
