On a serious note, while it sucks, it reinforces the need for these companies to have as much stock on hand as quickly as possible when a product is launched so that you fill all your customer's needs before they're copied and you're competing with cheap knockoffs |

It would be cool in TN lowered the price of their flat bar stock CNC'd pieces of anodized aluminum. I know it is made in the USA but this isn't a super intricate piece of gear requiring $250K molds. Don't come back at me with with the R&D talk either. A $100 trip to home depot could easily result in multiple prototypes.
That said, I have purchased from TN and will continue to do so. |

Bit of a unique requirement/recommendation question.
Have a lot of experience using inner/outer belt setups. Currently have an Alpha Gear for work and a Haley D3 for personal use. Anyway, looking for mag pouches, or really any pouches, that do a good job of staying upright. Most pouches I’ve used allow the top side of the mag to tip outwards a bit (for lack of a better description). The longer the mag, the worse it is. I understand the belt plays into this as well and there’s going to be some “tip” regardless, but anything that kind of focuses on this aspect? Concealability isn’t really a hard requirement, but being able to remain lower profile underneath a rain jacket or light outer garment is a possible need for me, and mags “tipping” out tend to print pretty badly leaning against a lighter outer garment. Not a super huge concern with plate carrier clearance either. If one will be worn, it’ll be slick with a basically non-existent cummerbund. |

Mine doesn’t fit everything I would like it to. I had to ditch the Israeli Bandage. I’d also say the MTKN isn’t the only ifak you should have on. More like supplemental supplies. The way I am about to run mine is the necessities in the Roll 1, and additional good to have items in the MTKN. I like it better than having one huge ifak on me. Plus the Roll 1 is so comfy when doing anything seated. Good lower back support. |

I know I saw a one-wrap tutorial basically on this thread, but I can't find it. I fell victim to the arfcom curse and ordered an MCB plate carrier from Grey Ghost during their 50% off sale, now I need an MCB belt to go along with it. (gotta look IG-ready at all times) along with the requisite pouches
I'm used to attaching things with malice straps on molle so, the Esstac One-Wrap thing...how does it work? |

Been reading through for some inspiration, and because I'm a cheap bastard, ordered materials to make my own. Here's hoping my old Singer can handle the MIL-27265 webbing in layers. I got it running beautifully for heavy layers of regular webbing and cordura. Going with coyote and M81 |

Got started on my first war belt. Really gave my old Singer a work out and pushed its limits. Got the outer done so far.
Attached File Constructed it similar to the esstac belts, minus any stiffener. 2 layers of 1.75" coyote type 13 webbing, outer layer wrapped in 500d of God's plaid, and plastic cobra buckles. Still stiffer than my quarter-ish inch leather belt. One wrap should arrive tomorrow, of which will be used as keepers next to the buckles. If I'm off work on time tomorrow, I will be constructing the inner belt out of the 1.5" version of that webbing, maybe two layers worth. Not sure yet, but I like a stiff pants belt... I will probably start on pouches this weekend. Going to modify my preferred single mag pouch design to be shorter, and thinking of adding an adjustable bungee retention around the bottom half, while using some webbing to stiffen the opening. Will also be making a small dump pouch, and blowout pouch if I can decide on its construction. A KT-MECH Akela duty holster was ordered at the same time as my materials, so another week or so till I can complete it |

A KT-MECH Akela duty holster was ordered at the same time as my materials, so another week or so till I can complete it That is super cool. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. My Akela Duty holster shipped today! After work, I whipped up the inner belt. The 1.5" type 13 was a little thicker than the 1.75". So much so, that I couldn't use it in my 1936 singer. It kept binding up, so I doubled up some regular 1.5" webbing, gave it 5 stitches down the middle, and it turned out decent. Also had time to bust out a couple pistol mag pouches. Removable flap made from 1.5" webbing, and retention than can tighten up even on single stack .380 mags. Put two loaded mags, plus my G19 in a KT-MECH Gunfighter to test the weight and retention. I really need a heavier duty machine. The Singer was sweating, but a newer home model would die Cat pictured tried helping the whole time. Attached File Attached File Attached File Tomorrow, I will try and get at least one rifle mag pouch done after work. Will make it in the same style as the pistol pouches, but no flap. Maybe an over the top bungee. Pistol pouches fit the multi-tool, and other things, hence the flap option. |

Coming along nicely. I got good at sewing pouches to chest rigs in earlier projects, but a standalone is a different beast.
5.56 pouch went smoother than the pistol pouches. Also added a mini roll up dump pouch. Copied the pull tab for the bungee from an old condor mag pouch, easy to thumb off the top kind of like a thumb break holster. Bungee around the pouch would just hang up the feed lips. Works fine on the pistol pouches though. Attached File Just enough room for a Nalgene bottle, or a few mags Attached File Just working on my own blow out pouch ideas now. Holster is set to arrive Tuesday, yet its already a few hours north in Eugene |

Belt setup is almost done. Just waiting on my holster.
So far digging it set up like this larping around the house. Everything made with US made materials, and German made Gutermann thread. You can tell how my stitching improved as I went. A straight only lockstitch machine, without reverse, is hard to master Attached File Need to get a jig for binding to clean up the internal seams, but I made a rip away box pouch with some elastic. Handle placement and buckle inspired by ATS. Attached File Raided my back pack med kit for supplies to Attached File Trying to think of how I'm going to rig a spare tourniquet to it. Might shove some shears down the webbing and bungee them in. Or just leave a pair in my pack and chest rig. |

No flopping, no sliding, just nice and solid. The Akela Duty holster is sweet, and stable enough that I didn't need to whip up a leg strap. Also, coyote goes real well with God's Plaid M81. A splash of Tan 499 as I didn't have a coyote buckle for the med pouch Attached File |
