Well I guess it's time to move on this, please send me his info so that I can order a Ti end cap. Thanks.

I too would like to get PM'd the contact info to order a set of caps for an inbound Omega.
Also curious if anyone has made end caps for the Saker as well? I'd rather get a Ti one as a 5.56 option for my Saker than the SiCo version. Thanks. |

But, best I can remember, he has one of my Saker caps at his shop as the plan was to offer them. Also had people asking about a Saker-style (i.e. maybe flash hider?) version of the Omega end cap. |

Ditto, can I get a PM with the info?
Thanks! |

They have QD and DT versions, but the end isn't removable as far as I know. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong as I'm just going by pics. Haven't looked too closely at the cans as I'm not really considering one at this point. I'd think he could adapt the existing one to fit any tube that has a removable mounting adapter. |
|
|
From the youtube videos ive see the threads are on the extefior of the can as opposed to the interior... not sure how hard that would be to machine.
So.... how do i talk you in to getting a sandman s so you are in the same boat as me? Lol. |
|
|

If the end user could get the adapter end off and have access to those threads, it shouldn't be an issue to make a MAAD adapter to fit them.

You, sir, have given me hope.

Just need a way to get him the thread specs and length you need. Assuming you could send him the piece that unscrews off those threads, I'd think that would be enough? |

What is the dif between the 3/3 or 6 holes in endcap? I assume the 3/3 can be used with two dif wrenches?
My Omega is in jail so not in hand to check. |

Go back and look at page 1. The end caps in the first post are the Omega holes, evenly spaced. I posted pics just down below that and you can see how the holes are almost in a triangle. The Saker holes are closer to the bore hole, while the Omega are close to the outer edge. |

Getting into this as well...could someone please PM the contact info for the machinist making Ti Endcaps for the Omega?
thank you! dan_h |
|
|
I sent in an email two weeks ago for some TI Omega endcaps. He said that wouldn't be a problem but didn't give a time frame. I am still waiting on them and I don't want to bother the machinist as it seems he is getting bombarded with emails. I wanted to try here first to see if anyone knows how long they are taking to get sent out?

Chance your email was more a question of if it was possible and not actually to order? Did he give you payment info? When I was up there this past Tuesday, he had a handful of end caps made in both 5.56 and 7.62. All he had to do was machine the wrench holes when people ordered and decided which pattern they wanted. I know he said he was really only working on this stuff on Fri nights, and sometimes would go in on Sundays. |

I ordered on 5/4 and then followed up to his reply on 5/5 to make sure I didn't need to send him payment right away. He responded on 5/6 and said the invoice would be in the package with the end cap. I haven't wanted to bother him since, but I may follow up soon just to make sure the package isn't off the grid . . . don't want him thinking I'm headed to Mexico without paying for my end cap. |

He actually just replied to the email from 5/6 a few minutes ago. He confirmed my shipping address and said he was shipping parts on Tuesday.

Just ordered my omega, can I get a pm with contact info as well. Wanting to grab a 5.56 and 7.62 cap.
Thanks! |

Just got the email yesterday with a follow up saying they will ship in a couple days.

I could use another blast shield if he ever gets around to it
I also would like a 7.62 and 556 end cap |

I'd love a 5.56 end cap could someone shoot me a message with how to get in touch and order one? Thanks

Has anyone purchased a Titanium Direct Thread adapter yet? I'm going to need one for a 1/2 x 28 threaded barrel (but for a .30 caliber bullet). What is the appropriate ID to specify for the hole in the center of the DT mount? .375" ?? (like the flat endcap hole diameter for 308)
Thanks, dan h |

Fairly certain nobody has one, as I don't think he's made the first one. Pretty sure he'd let me know so I could run up here with my Omega and test fit the prototype. I actually sent him an email about and hour ago asking about the DT adapter and the ASR blast shield, which should be his next two products. |

Got my end caps awhile ago, and was told that the direct thread adapters would be "later". Waiting for a production run right along with you.

Ok thanks for that...reason I asked is that I've seen some 1/2 x28 adapters stated as being for .223 only (they assumed you're using a dedicated 223 caliber suppressor). In any case i'd definitely be in the market for a Titanium DT adapter threaded 1/2 x 28 for my .308 hunting rifle (which is threaded 1/2 x 28 due to the fact that it has a mountain rifle-type barrel taper). |

As info...the response to me asking if he'd made progress on the Omega DT adapters or the ASR blast shield:
Hi Greg,
I have given up on doing parts after work and on my time, I started working on parts during work so things should get done sooner. Been working on some odd projects and will get back on the direct thread and blast shields next week. Sorry for the delay Howard View Quote I asked if that meant prices would go up a bit, as I assume the work gets processed like all the other work in the machine shop, and the owners would want their cut...and he said: The price will be the same, I will take a hit for the first run. After that I will go back to my time. View Quote |
