Sure you can depending on the length. |

Yeah I'm pretty interested to see that setup, especially when mounted. That's the can I'd prefer to go with. I wonder if its narrow enough with the griffin 3-lug mount to be able to be used with a surefire foregrip. My tirant is too fat at the muzzle w/ the three lug to use in conjunction with one of those surefire lights. |
|
|
The Omega 9K is 1.485" in diameter. Ti-Rant 45 is 1.38 so you're looking at not quite an 1/8th inch differnece. I think the larger diameter of the Omega 9K will present the same issue as a skinnier Ti-Rant with the external 3-lug. Not sure though.

I'm actually really surprised that the 9k is fatter than the Tirant, especially given the latter is a .45 cal can. I know that people have gotten away with that sort of setup using the silencerco mount and a different can. The external 3-lug is narrow enough at the muzzle to pull it off, even though the tube is fatter an inch or two away from it. I'll be curious to see if either 3lug adapter allows for use of that light setup w/ the 9k. Could always do direct-thread, but just seems odd on an mp5. |

View Quote I wish they would release a Omega 9 non-K I would be all over it. For my subguns I want a little more length. BTW, I ordered and received a Griffin 3-lug adapter for my Octane. The Griffin 3-lug adapter is supposedly made to the original HK 3-lug spec. In other words it's very specific. My new UMP 3-lug barrel doesn't work with it. Tonight I will find out how that compares to the SiCo 3-lug adapter. I do know the AAC Triad 3-lug adapter is designed to be more lenient and will work with any 3-lug barrel. So short story, be prepared for some inconsistencies in 3-lug compatibility with the Griffin mount. |
