I wanna do more lol. Super fun project. Vice holds are all on the side not the rings how the first post showed. I didnt wanna stress them. The base is used for all holds. Not much yooling required either.

Going to zero this week and see what happens post modification.

EDIT: painted and done. You cannot even tell. #removeallthestops

I went out to the local range this weekend to shoot my 6.5 Creedmoor on the 1000 yard range and zero my Holland with the new MK 4 3.5-10. After I was done shooting the Creed I pulled out the MK12 mod 1 and walked my way from 500-800 getting some pretty solid hits on steel. The guys beside me were pretty impressed and spotted me while I made a few shots out to 1000. It only took me a few rounds before I was able to make several hits at 1000 yards with the MK12. I was very impressed with the results using some Black Hills 77gr OTM. The BCM 18" SS barrel did well for me. The MK4 2.5-8 was maxed out. I had to use all I could dial and the reticle to get out to 1000.

Grab my netting while you're there, would ya?     Ordered from a place 200 miles South of me to ensure I get it before the season starts on Saturday. Mail sent it right past me up to Columbia, SC.

Lol yes ya dooooo!

Also, just to make note, and it took me until now to see this, but the 3/8" radius corner cutting endmill i used for the angle is a tad bit sharper than the sweeping radius ARMS used. The ONLY way to even tell is to look at it from above and compare the angles.

Just be aware of that (very very very minor) thing in case you want me to do them for you. Honestly even i look at these bitches and smile my ass off because of how great they look.

I dont want anyone thinking im not aware of this or that i messed up. Might be good as well in case someone goes to sell a set and this will be the determining factor for "real NLS" Or "EvansFAB converted NLS". Ya feel me?

I betcha you guys wouldnt have caught it, but as a stickler i wanted to let everyone who is interested know that is how they will be (unless i find a more sloping curved cutter). I use a hand file to blend in the curve and i will be making them more even. Mine were the test dummies

My new project. Only thing not correct is the barrel. Need to find out if I'm any good at distance shooting before dropping $350.00 on a correct barrel. FN 20" but to 18". Leupold VX-III LRT 3.5-10x40 TMR. SF buddy hooked me up. Got a set of 77gr. turrets on the way. Now flame time. Waiting on my Surefire muzzle brake to finish it off.

So the holland uses a 16" mid gas barrel correct? And the longest PRI hand guard is 12.5" if I remember correctly, so it should cover the gas block? I'm just thinking out loud for the build I'm starting. Oh, and does anyone have link to a decently priced handguard?

All KAC rails at least come with 3 11 rib covers. It's really easy to make them shorter and not even notice that you chopped them.

Can got approved!!! Finally.

Its got knurling on it and is marked California. I figured I'd have got one of the Nevada made ones.

Unfortunately my barrel only allowed for 2.5 turns on the threads so now the whole rifle is apart waiting on Ron Allen to help me out with a different collar.

The profile is different on the CLE than it is on a DD or KAC.

If you don't care about that, then just buy a YHM or Radical for even less than the CLE.

Its got knurling on it and is marked California. I figured I'd have got one of the Nevada made ones.

Unfortunately my barrel only allowed for 2.5 turns on the threads so know the whole rifle is apart waiting on Ron Allen to help me out with a different collar.

For my future reference, how many turns should you have?

Ron Allen said 5-6 I believe. My barrel is a White Oak and I've read of others having the same problem.

Looks like black oxide, too. Sweet deal. You are still GTG with 2.5 turns. The threads do not center the aperture to the bore. Just use a paint pen and make an index line if you are too worried about not enough thread contact to create friction against the collar. Use it as a visual aid for the suppressor loosening while you wait for a fix.

Thanks for the advise! Ron is actually making a collar that allows proper spacing as we speak.

And actually the can appears to be a bit more grey than black. But this is the only one I've ever seen in person so I'm not sure.

I didn't see it listed in the OP, but was/is there an issued QD sling mount for the Mod 1?

Black oxide isn't pure black. It makes stainless steel look phosphated. Black oxide wears a lot better than paint, which is what AE uses now.

That must be what it is then. I was just happy it had the knurling on it.
