While I'm not a fan of anything Canadian Military I do like the attention to detail on your build, and not just only that one, I recall you mentioning you're OCD? Think you should migrate South to the states where you're abilities are appreciated lol! And, What are the prices like on Elcan Optics in Canada compared to the prices here in the states? |

A working one, new in the box with the green cover goes for about $1,800 CAD. The prices of the Spectre DRs just jumped to nearly $3k for the 1-4, but many retailers are still advertising last year"s prices (old stock maybe?). |

I start off with the Gun Scrubber and spray down the receivers well and wipe them off. I follow up with the sandpaper and get the finish down to where I like it making sure that it has the right wear pattern. I follow that with the steel wool to get a good sheen. I then apply some gun oil and work it in and wipe off the excess. Sometimes, I will hit the receivers again with the steel wool if I need to take the finish down a tad more. I used to pay Nodak Spud to do the BFPU look until I decided that I could do it myself. I have had a few years practice doing this now. I am now looking to get my 1971 M16A1 clone build done soon.
