Let's see what you guys have done with carry handle builds. Anything goes as long as it's got a carry handle. A1, C7, A2, detachable, even a cut down (thanks for reminding me, @Coldblue !). Pistol, firearm, SBR, carbine, rifle.

Mine has gone through many iterations, but I think this one was my favorite. Started love as an Operation Gothic Serpent, then I got "carried" away with it

Don't wait. There is something special about these muskets. I could have chosen one of the several carbines I own, which would have been infinitely easier to lug around all day, but I chose this rifle. Because it is iconic. Even as I age, I am still very capable with it. Several attendees nodded knowingly when they spotted it.Attachment Attached File

I love the look, but boy am I glad the guy who sold me my first AR steered me toward a flattop / optic ready gun.  I still bought a detachable handle, but wouldn't want to be stuck with that full time - my preference.

Good looking guns!

You only have one AR15?

Edit: reading comprehension fail on my part. But still, carry handles are awesome.

My favorite configuration.
I built one just like it but with a detachable carry-handle.

I thought they only came in collection size with spare seeds to grow your own

Off to a great start, dudes! Some nice sticks in here! It's good to see all of the different ways to utilize these things. To think I broke mine down and damn near sold it. Wasn't until the first buyer didn't follow through that I realized it may be a mistake. I think I'll resurrect it soon after I send the barrel to get chopped from 14.5 to 13.7 or 12.5. Can't decide if I want to use my B.E. Meyers 249F or AEM5 setup. What do y'all think?

That would work. I just used what I had on hand when I did the build.

Once the parts finally get here, the M&P15-22 I recently got will go from this.......

..to looking like this.

I also found an Ultralux Sporter retro scope on Ebay with see through end caps I bought on a whim today to try out on it once it's all together.

Wow... just wow... It's been a long time since I've seen such classic and lovely Retro examples. I love their simplicity and am intrigued with the brown sling on the A1! Well done sir, well done!

A properly set-up carry handle upper is wonderfully effective making hits on target, light, simple and just as you say... "Good looking guns!"... An A1 with a short pencil (standard) profile barrel wearing  just a small light and a well made sling is of the best looking and most useful of all IMO...

SSK Carry handle conversion on an SP1 upper. It was made especially to use an Ultradot RDS. Lower third co-witness. Before flattops and Aimpoints became ubiquitous.

In the '90s I showed up with it at a MG shoot and got a lot of WTFs until they tried it.
