And, btw, while I am by no means complaining, where the hell is all the SIG 55X stuffs, Todd?
If I sent an AK dust cover to ORF could i pay to have an HK style rear sight welded to it like I've seen in some pics here??
Ignore my last reply and email about the HK sight Todd. I just spoke to you on the phone.
That is pretty! I wantssss my precioussss. Givesss it to me! Nasty, thieving master smithssss stoldsss it from me!
Ordered!
Who has the best parts kit to go with these? Edit: will a "stamped" parts kit fit a milled receiver? |
What my dream is, is if you guys "ORF" make the FNCs that you are thinking of SEAR READY.
All a customer would have to do is buy your product and pop in their reg sear. No extended paper work like curtis and no marring a sear serial number to a rifle serial number. Is this possible? |
OK how/where do I reserve a FNC parts kit and reciever??? Please pleaseplease
Is that the final design? Or are you going to make any with the traditional indentation at the mag well? |
JCKnife,
A stamped kit will fit a milled receiver. All you need different is a milled buttstock. |
Gary, I designed the new receiver so you can use the stamped stock. It just needs to be fitted to the opening in the receiver. The opening is about .100" smaller across than a stamped receiver/trunnion.

I would be interested in a complete Galil in a few weeks - come Sept. 14th. Does ORF have a lay-away plan? Thank you for your time, Jason.
What's the ETA on those M76's?
Hell, for that matter, what's the ETA on the AK-74's? |
JCK,
I hope to get the M74 receivers from heat treat Friday. The M76s just hit the machines, about 1 month on them. Todd@ORF |
another gratuitous bump in anticipation of the HK stuff |
Guys,
Update to the Hk stuff. Presses will be arriving soon, gotta get the warehouse organized first! The die is made for the 9mm (MP5, RF94 whatever you wanna call it at the moment). There is some tweaking that is needing to be done yet on it, few more weeks before parts start arriving. Todd@ORF |
Todd, how much do you anticipate selling your Mp5 clones for? Ballpark figure would be fine.
+1 +2 +3 etc., etc., etc. Woody |
Guys,
The RF94s will start about $1000, this will be a 94 style gun, 16" brl etc, we will do other models with cans, etc etc. Receivers will be in the $300 range. Todd@ORF |
Errrrm I bet I could eat Ramen for a year. |
I'm in. Collapsible (not folding) stock please. Might take me a few months to raise the cash (I'm dumping mucho $$$ into my AR next month), are you going to be building these for awhile? |
Any chance of an A3 configuration after the 13th? |
holy shit!!! $300 for the receiver??? that is absolutely AWESOME!!! any chance of an mp5k model? with either the 16" bbl or fake can. |
hardcorps, dammit man... if they build an Mp5K then you realize I will have to buy BOTH, and it will be more than $2000 out of my pocket? Plus the $400 it would take to get both rifles SBR'd!
Could this get any worse for my wallet? (Or better for my crazy grin?) |
It'd only be $200 for the SBR. A semi MP5k will be a pistol again after the ban. |
Not after I put that PDW folding stock on it! |
Damn, I guess the AR stuff goes on the back burner for a while.
Duke I feel your pain, but instead of saving up to convert my ARs I've been saving up for 2 new HKs. I like you will be picking up a MP5 and Hopefully a K if they will put one together for me. Where in MO are you from? Jerad |

I am in but would like to see a pic of the different rifles or anticipated types of rifles. When does the ordering start?
Iso |
Not with a verticle front grip, with no buttstock if would be a AOW, that should also need a $200 tax to initially create, but $5 to transfer if I understand it correctly... A SP89 style with a horizontal front grip and no buttstock would be a pistol though.... |
AR15fan-- its only $5 to create an AOW but you must start with a receiver that has never been registered as a longgun. Its a bit strange, you can't take an off-the-shelf Mossberg 500 and turn it into an AOW shotgun, you have to start with a brand new receiver. Of course in this case (SP89 type) it wouldn't matter.
Jerad-- I live in Holden, MO which is between Warrensburg and Lee's Summit. I work in Kansas City. Have you been to the Missouri forums here? Can you make it to the big shoot on the 18th? |
man, an mp5k with folding pdw stock and a short barrel with a fake can temporarily welded/pinned on until i can get my sbr license!!! arrrrgggghhhhhhh (homer drooling)
hears a question? what parts kits are going to be used with the mp5/rf94's 1000 for the weapon sounds great, but i am wondering since the HK parts kits that are being sold are around 1400-1700, whats the quality of the parts that are going to be used, any real diffrence between those and the original besides the name? well regardless count me in fora reciever
S/F |
I don't think you're right about that. I've read elsewhere that it's $200 tax for an individual to make a AOW (apparenlty certain class dealers can make them without the tax, beats me). Looking it up in the NFA law I find this on making:
And this on transfers:
Note the lack of an exception for a AOW with the making tax, only the $5 transfer part is noted as different... You can look at all the NFA law at this handy link, put in nice subsections: www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/26/stEch53.html If someone has it on good authority that there isn't a $200 tax when you make/register a AOW please speak up, I'd very much like to build some AK AOWs on bent blank recievers but it ain't worth it with a $200 tax, might as well do an SBR in that case... |
AR-15fan, I belive you are correct.. If a Individual files a Form 1, he/she has to pay a $200 making tax...
Guys,
Guns we make will be made from POF parts. Best thing out there wo the Hk price tag. POF MP5 kits are $475.00. Yes we will do any and all models we can think of in the 9mm line. Todd@ORF |
Complete. Total. Bliss. You guys rock. |
If its made into a rifle first, you can't go back and make it an AOW. Why would you want to take the stock off? AOW has to be on a virgin reciever. Stupid rule, but thats my understanding. That sucker will fold here after two days. Just get it as a rifle. Shoot it, and get your SBR paperwork submitted. Its $200 sure, but you get to keep your stock, and play with it in the meantime.
I managed to get out there today, (glad I live in IN!) ORF is COOLEST STORE/SHOP EVER. I am now committed to spreading the word, having visited. They have alot of cool stuff in the works for sure. |
