The guys at ORF rock. Being as close as I am I need to visit more often. Any speculative pricing on the Yugo receivers or those Mp5 err... new stamped receivers?

It would be great to see a US-production stamped AK receiver that is true to commie-spec.  If you could make one that is a true clone of the originals I think it would take over the market with fair speed.

All of the current US-made stamped receivers are pretty flawed and none of them are really worthy of a truly authentic build without heavy modification.

Looks like it takes standard AKM buttstocks as well.  Excellent!

Yeah, we thought it would be nice if you could use the standard 74 stamped stock with them.

I belive they will work with the RPK 74 barrels. They will have a 22 mm trunion hole. I think that is what the RPK 74 is, some one correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I'm with the ARCAPTN.

'cause there's this Uzi that's calling my name. But a good ORF94 would be worth the extra cash. Hopefully your own recievers might bring down the cost too, since ORF wouldn't have to buy and work with the SW abortions.

Guys,
Yes ORF will offer stamped 94 style receivers soon.  Presses need to be delivered, I am hoping two weeks or less, gotta get the new barn sqaured away on where they are going.  Die should be ready to test in about 1 month.

Todd@ORF

Well, I guess that I'll be taking another road trip to my favorite toy store soon.

Damn, you fuckers are worse than crack dealers.

Questions:
Do you guys have parts kits, or should I start looking?
I think POF had some MP5 parts kits for sale.  If I go the SBR route, you could build an MP5 clone, right?

I can't remember who has MP-5 kits anymore, POF is probably the best bet, and that Paki stuff aint all that bad

You can corner the market by making quality HK spec 94 clones and backing them up.

With the only competition being Hesse and Special/Tactical/Polecat Weapons, this will be a cakewalk for ORF.  Price them competitively, and you won't be able to keep up with orders.

The more competition, the better :)

There is already one firm that currently offers a milled receiver for AK-74 parts building, and that is the Firing Line company.
Some years ago, the Firing Line folks started with a basic milled AK-47 type receiver designed around the press in barrel method. Soon after, they moved on to include a threaded version receiver designed for threaded barrel AK kits. They then went on to add other milled AK variant receivers, such as one that is designed to be assembled with underfolding stock sets, and milled receivers for use with the AK-74 kits.

The Firing Line has probably been making milled AK receivers for about 4-5 years now, and they have gained a solid reputation for being durable, and quality manufactured. They are milled from 4140 steel billets, and are fully heat treated to 45RC.

For those interested in how the basic Firing Line milled receivers look, here's a photo of their basic press in barrel method milled AK-47 receiver:

They list their milled AK-74 receiver at $329.95, and their basic milled AK-47 receiver for under $300.

It's nice to see that the milled variants are still holding enough ground for companies to consider jumping in to manufacture them :) Like I said before, the more the merrier

Guys,
Yes we have a line on some FNC kits.  I am working hard at getting some Ak5 parts kits in.  I wanna build Ak5s but we will do some FNCs too.  All those sears that hit the market need homes!  Milled 74S receivers are down the pipe a couple months yet.

Two questions:

1. Price-- need to know how much to start saving.  A ballpark figure is fine for now.

2. Where do I sign up to reserve mine? FNC, not AK5.
