I'm actually "in" Sacramento but don't get out to shoot nearly as much as I wish due to lack of cash.

Best bet I see is for you to look for one of the NorCal shoots out in the pines and sticks. I'm going to try and make the next one myself.

I was born in Carmichael, many, many years ago. As a kid, I used to shoot my .22 in my Grandma's back yard (2+ acres) in North Highlands, just east of McClellan AFB. I'm sure that area is all housing developments now.

Sgtar15 is rumored to live in Carmichael.

exilefromhell, is the Spenceville range still open? Its on the east margin of Beale.

By the way I saw Global Hawk loitering around McClellan the other day. Damned robots...

It's open but what a mess. Too bad we can't use the slobs that turn that place into such a dump as targets. Last time I was out there, a bunch of drunk wanna-be gang bangers showed up, speaking Russian.  Throwing their empty beer cans up in the air and shooting at them (course none of them could hit anything...least not what they aimed at.

Is the Spenceville range the same as the one just outside the Beale Grass Valley gate (I thought that was part of Camp Far West)? My GI buds used to play with our AR's out there back in the day!

Well, if anybody want to go shooting, let me know (IM).

Yep, that's it.

It used to be a fun place to go (no range masters), but freedom does not work without self-control.

BLM used to regularly threaten to shut it down if the slobs didn't stop trashing the place.

I'm from Marysville, about 30min away from Spenceville Range.  My brother in law and i we went there last weekend around 7 pm, we had a lot of fun.  Like the other says the place's a mess.  Anyone here is planning on Dove Hunting over there at Spenceville Wildlife?  Let me know, cuz i'll be there for sure.

I'm over in Walnut Creek.

I go to Chabot sometimes. I love that range but it's about a 40 minute drive from here. I usually go to the Concord USI range, which is about a 7 minute drive away.

no doubt, it just sucks ass living here, can't even amagine what'll happen if a shtf happens right here, right now in this city.  most of us law abiders are stripped of our 2nd amend. down to sticks&stones with the only option of maybe pellet guns  how difficult is it to obtain ccw permits here? the odds are almost similar to the lottery.
