SAW gunner here.... Can confirm.

I use the Spiritus Systems hanger and I can fit 100 rounds easily into the hanger.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. I want something that I can use to help carry squad items (or bullshit) and not be stuck with it if I don't need it. That being said I think I'm changing from RTO to saw gunner pretty soon so it will get a lot of use.

No problem. If you’re a SAW gunner don’t be afraid to speak up and cross kid your ammo. I carry 500 on me max and on the gun while the rest is cross loaded. If I’m climbing up a mountain I carry 300 or so.

I think being SAW gunner is worse than RTO, but it’s not bad honestly. Mostly it’s the ammo weighing you down more than anything else.

The second reload was for the Flex Users Group.

Many have been testing the capabilities of the Flex. Some guys have even gone beyond what I have done.

It's not really a clone anymore but yes. My Springfield loaded is my normal EDC. I really like the pachymer grips but I like having the plunger tube covered. I also prefer a short trigger.

240 ejects down so there’s no wrong hand...if you have an AG.

How do you like the Ronin belt? Trying to decide between Ronin and TYR.

Ejection isn’t the problem. (Not really with any guns except bullpups). It’s more so if you don’t have an AG. Just a joke though. I’ve never had an issue with any MG.

I prefer the Ronin because the inner belt is secured in the belt loops and attaches to its self where a normal belt buckle would be.

So if I take the outter belt off. The inner belt still holds my pants up.

Edit: Also I like that the Ronin can’t ride up and that there’s not a belt with a buckle underneath it.

Another gear shot. When it's hot downgrade by ditching the sideplates and hanger. I also dropped that big ass med pouch (behind the sat antenna kinda visible there) for a way better one that mounts horizontally and tears out. So much better, bounces a lot less when running.
I forget the brand, our medics bought them, but I'll get it.

Cool setup though none the less. How is the flatpack while working in vehicles? My Spiritus Systems hanger is my IFAK so nothing is on my back for military vehicle work and the terrible amount of room that allocated in any military vehicle while in kit, haha. I was using a Micro Trauma Kit too, but being a frequent driver in tight spaces even that trauma kit snagged on the vehicle and such.

I like it a lot, its a handy place to put stuff.  I use it for 1.5" chemlights, SSE fiduciary ruler, notebook, nitrile gloves, and I throw my headlamp and face wrap in there when im not using them.

The only things I would suggest with it are:

- dont put anything in it that can break, going to the prone doesnt put that stuff in a good spot once you hit the dirt.  I only have those chemlights on the outside now because im primarily in a vehicle at the moment. Fullsize chemlights will break regularly going prone with this pouch.

- dont use it for anything that can potentially fragment, most especially because its at dick level. An IFAK would be perfect.

I was interested in the dangler so I snagged one. Gotta say it’s nice. I sometimes put med supplies in it, snacks, admin shit, pretty much anything.

But I’m not a door kicker. I just go to my little spot in the desert and do drills and pretend to do what you really do lol.

Plus it comes right off if you want to ditch it. Cheap too. I’d definitely snag one if I were you.

I don't always wear an undershirt.

I carry my G34 in the summer in Louisiana. It gets humid down here, but I'm not going to downside because of sweat.

As the name suggests, it flexes. I was never a fan of the "sidecar" holsters, and when folks asked me if I could make them one, I said no. Unlike the Flex, they do not fit every body type.

Since it's made from Hypalon, it does a good job staying in place.

Combat gauze
TPT needle
Combat pill pack

I keep another small FAK on my belt and one on my pack with similar contents, as a lot of times I'm only wearing 1 of the 3.  If I have all three on I just have extra stuff, which isn't bad at all.

Guess I'll play, couple random items.

Couple AR mag pouches for belt mount that I made/make:

My SADF chest rig that Darin modded for a IFAK on the right side and a TQ pouch on the left, picture shamelessly stolen from IG since Photobucket is holding my pictures hostage.

Currently use a Mayflower/Velocity Systems Pusher chest rig that I'll have to snag some photos of.  Definitely a nice rig if you have to swap guns around.

DAMN those AR pouches are sexy as hell! Awesome.

I remember watching a video out of Iraq, some Kurdish fighters in a firefight with Islamic State troops. Couple of the Kurds/Iraqis had some rockin' AK belt mounted pouches. Looked like brown leather, shiny rivets all over. Looked cool as hell. Don't even own an AK and I still wanted a set just so I could look at them. Figured they were something locally made though so I'd never get my hands on any.

The Egyptians made some belt mounted AK pouches that are pretty distinctive looking, I'd guess that's where those originated. I've made a couple AK belt mounts but they have never been as nice as the AR ones I make, nor popular.

Do it.

I'm wearing a Ferro Slickster here. so there's exactly zero MOLLE to hang an IFAK, not that I was carrying one anyway. But someone got pissy, so I grabbed a dangler and have the full IFAK in there with a MED patch on it so I can point to my dick when some CSM wants to get nosey and ask where it is.

So I "did a thing"...I got rid of my RG 6094 and grabbed a BAE RBAV. Ever since I got rid of my old CIRAS I missed that hugging feeling. Ive been eyeballing the RBAV since back when BAE closed that division and started dumping them. I finally picked one up, and can say that with level 4 ceramic plates and level 2 soft plates the weight distribution feels better than me 6094, and overall more comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I still have in OCPC, which I love, but I think this will be my new shtf setup.
