So after reading through this thread, it appears that all of these guns are very reliable and will out last most people that aren't throwing 20k+ rounds through their pistol. Is there any gun that stands out as being worse/better than the rest? Or all they all great and tend to eventually breakdown after many 1000s of rounds?

Well, it appears that Glock has addressed the issue with the ring on the front of the slide with the Gen5s. Comparing the two, the Gen5 is noticeably thicker.
Sucks as I just got a Gen4 slide milled for an RMR. But even if it lasts "only" 30,000 rounds, it's still a good bit of service/life. |

It is nice Glock has addressed this, but that has an effect on me about as much as changing the speed limit on the main road at Ice Station Zebra. |

Hey, thanks for these threads! I've read the AR one front to back and really appreciate it.
I was wondering if you've had any Glock pistols suffer cracks at the breach face? |

Wow... what a thread. Great valuable info here.
I’m very glad to hear that Glock is standing up to their warranty. I am surprised to hear of these “failures” or “breakages” though. I too am wondering if it’s just the result of a certain “batch” or “run” or a reflection of the quality in general of some of their most recent productions. I recently just chose Glock for my 2 most recent pistol purchases for their reunion and historical reliability. |
|
|
[#34]
Also - maybe I missed it or misunderstood ... but I believe someone posed the question about these breakages possibly being due to the fact that the RSA is being replaced too soon?
Any warrant or response to that notion? |

What DOES Make sense is partnering with an existing remanufactued ammunition company like Black Hills and/or Atlanta arms - only closer to LV. Imagine a symbiotic relationship where all of BFLV's fired brass goes back for reloading, while BFLV enjoys greatly reduced ammunition costs. My old employer (range with a pro shop) bought Atlanta Arms remanufactued ammo. Our costs were reduced by the amount of range-brass we sent to AA. |
