I was just over at Glocktalk, and there are a lot of people posting pics of their Glocks. A lot of people here do the same thing. I cannot understand why people do this. Don't get me wrong - I like Glocks a lot, but the thing is, EVERY SINGLE GLOCK LOOKS EXACTLY ALIKE! It's not like the 1911 or Hi-Power, where there are many different configurations, grips, and finishes. A Glock is a Glock. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. That's the good thing about a Glock. They're strictly business.
...just an observation I'll post a pic of my new Glock 17 in the next couple of weeks when I get it! |
|
why not. sure many look the same but how many plain jane 1911a1s have you seen as well.
|
|
Ooh, yeah, but THAT one has diamond-checkered wood furniture and an extended this-or-that! Plus, it cost like TWO FRIGGIN' GRAND. It MUST be something special, right? [/zips up the nomex] |

Not true. You have different slide finishes, polymer finishes for the frame, custom frame contouring, Agrips/Handalls, new sights, new triggers, new guide rods, magwells, sight mounts, replacement barrels, cut down frames, mounted lights and lasers, grip reductions, frame stippling, extended mag releases, etended slide stops, extended slide locks, slide lightning cuts, custom barrell/slide porting, suppressors, etc, etc - and these are visible changes that you can see just by looking at a picture. |

+2 and nice 23 you have there ARDunstan. |

I don't tire of seeing pics of first generation Glock 17s. Also, it is kind of cool to see how they wear...I'm not interested in safe queens...

I'll be the first troll to agree with lu380.
Glocks are for shooting, not posting as porn. They have no soul. ETA: Those damascus slides are the coolest things I have seen on a Glock. |

I think mine is very different from everyone else's. |

Because they all look different. Can't you tell? Can't you see all the internal mods they have done! Are you blind?????

Gun pr0n, baby. Some people would sat the same thing about the BOTD thread. Once you get past the different "models" (blonde, brunette, red, etc) and the "accessories" (fake/real breasts, cologen, etc.) they all start looking the same... but they're all nice to look at regardless.
ETA: PS... where is the rest of the Glock porn on ARfcom and Glock talk... are there dedicated threads for pics, because I must be missing them. Also... someone posted a pic of a G17 and a G19 with a Surefire x200... does anyone know where I could find those pictures? ETA: Link I found the picture I was thinking of... but not sure of the models... the ones with the Surefire x200's on them. I was figuring the smaller frame one was a G19 and the longer one was either a G17 or G17L... not sure though. I like the profile of the longer one where the light doesn't go past the end of the frame/barrel. Might reconsider partly based on that. |

That is definitely a sweetheart. |

You don't know the half of it! |

Glocks will shoot under water. I caught this guard sleeping at his post at about 12' with a custom G36. Dang he tasted good!

Is it just the Glock 35's that have that slide release? I noticed it in the store the other day... none of the other models had it, but it seems to be a better one... not as flat. |
|
|
Both the 34 and 35 have the extended slide lock, but I think one of the small framed 45's have it as well. They're available from Glock and other shops if you want to swap out your flat one. I usually pull the slide back to release it, so the extended lock hasn't made a big difference to me.

Link? Looked on Glock's web page but it pretty much sucks. The accessories link is dead and I'm assuming that is where it should be... |

You can get the Extended slide stop at Lone Wolf item GLO-7496

I watch that movie ENTIRELY to much. I mean daily...its wierd. I think I may be buying a 19 now.....damn and I thought I had my mind made up. |

Kick ass link. I don't know if I've even got that one bookmarked on my laptop... yet. I'm lookin at all thwe widgets they sell on there just for Glocks... what else is a good to have or must have that you can get for a Glock? I'm thinking the exploded diagram bench mat, the grip plug, and some sort of armorers tool might be some must haves. Or at least some nice to haves. Oh, and it would seem I've more or less hijacked on this thread. Sorry... well, not really. It's turning into a good info thread now. |
