Wrong end and should be coming in from the chamber and out the suppressor.  This way you know that what every line the bore is, the comp and the suppressor is on the same axial line, and that the bore of the barrel is straight as well.

So if rod can not clean pass through the bore first, then barrel is bent, and where the rod end gets tight, the problem.  If not getting tight until it enters the comp, or into the suppressor, suspect either threads not parallel with bore, or last inch of barrel was bent from all the hot work of blind pin welding.

As for rod a touch snug in the bore, normal for a hammer forged barrel until it stress relives from live fire.
Note, you never want to use a SS barrel for full auto fire, or allow it to major over heat, due to the way that it will pretzel from such.
