Rifle is an older 10/22 that I just redid for a long range trainer. Ammo was Federal auto-match bulk pack. Rifle was shot off a bipod with a rear bag.

Damn good shooting.

Thanks, though I was really disappointed in the last shot.

Just bought a 22 to do stuff just like this. I want to work on precision skills and get myself out of the basement.

Thank you!

It's been almost 3 weeks since someone posted a target. Come on guys, get out there and do some shootin'. The weather isn't that bad. Well, in some places it is.

This is from a Ruger Target, mostly stock. First gun I purchased it in December 14

I didn't make it, and frankly disappointed, I was really jumpy when I went to the range. Blaming too much caffeine on this failure, but plan on fixing this in the next week.

Not too bad really. I would add the last dot and call it 14.

According to the rules, posting what I have.

Ruger 10/22 Target
It has a cheap Crossman scope, but it works brilliantly.
Other then Volquartsen Bolt Release and Target Hammer, it's stock.

Just rested it on a Caldwell Deadshot Filled Front Bag and my shoulder.  *Note  CCI Mini Mags were used.

I assume you are talking about my VPT.

It is a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x50mm LR/T with the TMR.

Probably going to be moving that scope over to another rifle so I'm just starting to look around for something new for it.

Any suggestions? I would like similar magnification for less $$$ if possible.

I really need to replace it with something less expensive. I've been looking but haven't made a decision yet.

The rings are Seekins high rings.

Geez, this game is no joke

At 50 yards, I only drove 16 tacks

I actually 'attempted' this again today, wanting to beat my previous 16 tacks.
20mph+ wind, switching real bad.
22lr doesn't grow on trees, and as poor as the conditions were I didn't even uncase the rimfire rifle.
It was great practice reading goofy wind at 200yds for my centerfire stuff

I'm optimistic about the 50yd game, I think I can do that one
That 100yd game looks tough, but I'm going to give it hell

Took the CZ to the range on 4-11 and shot at 25, 50 and 100.

The 25 yrd range is protected from the wind and I did pretty good.

Then I moved to the 50/100 yard range and the wind was really swirling and shifting. I shot a couple targets at 50 yards that sucked too bad to post here and 100 yards was not even worth trying.

I have recently installed a Lilja barrel and had it full length bedded. I just need to get back out when the wind is not unreasonable to see how it will really shoot. Need to get some more ammo to try also.

Here is the 25 yard target.

I'm gonna try this game real soon.

My rifle is an older Marlin 25N that I shot today for the first time in several years. The cheap Tasco scope is ok I guess, but my rings keep moving in the dovetail. Is there a fix for that?

Great shooting!  Best so far in the thread I think.

Welp you're the guy to beat.  Off to try it this morning.

Stick: 10/22, Ruger match trigger, Green Mountain FF barrel
Ammo: Fed bulk or Winchester HV.  This will likely be the weak link in the system

I am gonna do this for sure. Been nasty here the last few days but when weather gets better I'm on it. I love shooting my .22's and the three kids do to. I don't have the nice sticks that you guys have but will probably use the Marlin XT22 that I have with a Nikon Monarch 3-9 sitting on top.

I know it's sub-squirrel MOA so we will see how it goes.

Aside from having good shooting fundamentals and having quality components on the gun, you need to try many different brands of ammo to see what shoots best out of your setup.  I'm always searching for more ammo I've never shot just to collect data.  The .22 LR shortage makes this problematic.
My tack driving rimfire at 50 yards is a $50 used Ruger 10/22 I scored years ago.  I rebuilt it with an 18" Green Mountain fluted bull barrel,  fire control parts with Volquartsen parts, and the a Hogue stock.
The only thing different not shown on the picture is the BSA Sweet 22
3-9X has been replaced with a Redfield Revolution 4-12X.  It really likes Wolf Match or Lapua Match standard velocity ammo.  They are literally from the the same plant.   I have found this ammo doesn't work as well in other rimfires I own but makes this one the best shooting rimfire I have.
