I have had it with PC bullshit, and saying Merry Christmas, then thinking "oops, hope they don't bitch."
So, this year, i have made a point to say Merry Christmas to everyone, every chance I get.
My employees think I am nuts, as I try to say it to every customer that walks through the office.
My office has a 2-way mirrored window that faces our lobby and I walk out to say it whenever I notice someone.

I actually feel pretty happy after doing it all day, and not just out of spite for being anti-PC.

ETA:  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It's Merry Christmas for this family. I'm not even religious and i still believe that it should always be Merry Christmas.

Yep, but where I live so does everyone.

Count me as one.

I say Merry Christmas to everyone, and I refuse to write, "X-mas." It's lazy at best.....

Holidays??? What holidays?

There's only one Federal Holiday in December: "Christmas Day".

All the rest are posers.

Merry Christmas

Christmas rules and all know it. Most say "Merry Christmas" around here, usually, except for those trying to be politically correct. Screw taht.

I make a point of enunciating "Merry Christmas" when morons say "Happy Holidays".

I asked someone why they don't say merry Christmas, they said that they didn't want to offend anyone.
When Jews that I know say "happy Hanukkah" I don't get offended. I tell them happy Hanukkah and merry Christmas.

I don't get worked up about it either way, but then...I'm not anti social.

I grew up saying "Merry Christmas", so that's what I say. If somebody says "Happy Holidays", I take it as it was intended - warm words, and a nice gesture. And I reply "Happy Holidays to you too".

Why be a dick to somebody who's trying to be nice?

Definitely not about that.
It's more about overcoming the feeling "oh shit" whenever you say Christmas instead of Holiday.
I can count about 20 times total someone has said "Christmas" to me this year, rather than "Holiday" without me saying it first.

Well, if you didn't do any damage to them, say "pardon me" or Please Excuse me." You could even say "I'm sorry" or "Sorry about that." Some folks say "my bad", but that really is a lame thing to say.

If you did do damge, it is best to say nothing until you have your lawyer present. (Hopefully he/she isn't Jewish)

Oh hey, that wasn't directed at you, man.

I think it might depend where you live. In my neck of the woods, everybody says "Merry Christmas". A customer from California today just said "Happy Holidays", and he meant it - he was one thankful dude at the end of that call (I taught him a bunch of admin stuff for his call center). I'll bet places like Cleveland or Columbus have more people who prefer to say "Happy Holidays", but that's just a guess.

I tell everyone Merry Christmas.

If a Jew tells me "Happy hanukkah" I say thanks. I don't see what the big deal is. Tell me Happy *insert your favorite holiday here* and I'm just fine with it.

Hasn't happened, but if it does, I'll follow up with a Happy Hanukkah.

Christmas is a religious holiday, for sure, but there is nothing religious about Christmas trees, Santa Claus, or shopping til midnight on 12/24.

99+% of the people in this country do any these things, so Christmas is appropriate for secular reasons, too.

This is not a religious thing for me.

Merry Christmes from me also. I occasionally will throw in a Happy Holiday after the Merry Christmas but its rare

I was at Target today.  Checker says, "Merry C ––- I mean, Happy Holidays."  I smiled and said, "Merry Christmas."

Mind you, I am a devout atheist, no use for Christian mumbo-jumbo.  But Christmas is a secular (pagan) holiday, that got appropriated by Christians.  It's a holiday, it's a party.  There's Santa, and Rudolph, and Frosty, and Red Ryder BB guns, and watching little children have a good time.

Merry Christmas, everybody!  And I mean that.

(Besides, Blitzen is Jewish, right?)

I celebrate Yule.
Happy Yule to all of you.

But i would say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.

I always say Merry Christmas as does my wife and my children.

We are not rude about it to anyone, but we believe that Christ is the reason for the holiday and the greeting is appropriate.

Even in the face of a nice liberal PC "Happy Holidays" I pleasantly respond "Merry Christmas".

Sooo.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours!

When speaking to someone I don't know personally, I prefer to say "Happy Holidays."

It seems a bit presumptive to assume everyone you don't know is Christian, when in fact they may be Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Agnostic, Athiest, or of any other belief or non-belief.

I do make a point to say Merry Christmas.  In fact, I'm a phone operator for a major retailer and they gave us the option last year of saying "Merry Chrstmas" or "happy holidays".  I thought that was nice.  I only had two people bitch at me about saying "Merry Christmas" to them, one did it as a joke, and the other celebrated Hanukkah (spelling?) not Christmas and was offended apparently.
