Today, I scored a Kimber Custom (not a Custom II) with Aimtech scope mount and Bushnell Holosight for $600.  I also scored a LNIB Armalite AR-180B for $575.

So, what have your good ones been?

I bought a NIB CZ75B Tactical for $350.00  Only 1000 available.  Had to be one of the last ones on dealers shelves.

I walked into Gander the other day to look at a heavy barreled Savage in 223. Seen a S&W model 10 snubby for $150 that I just had to have... I've wanted a 2" .38 for a long time, just never wanted to spent $300-400 for one. This one had some surface rust on it but it looked like it was never shot. Everything was real tight and trigger felt great. The owner of this gun probably passed away years ago and it's been sitting in a drawer unoiled. I had to give it a  good home, it's going to made a sweet beater... Can't wait to bring it home....

I scored a slighty used postban Bushy M4 for $1600 at my gunshop the other day!!!
Yeah... all the gunshops in my area offer a free bottle of anal lube with each gun purchase.  I buy my stuff online.

Baikal O/U NIB with full warranty, Pre Remington, for $350.  Eat my shorts Beretta and Browning owners, I'm sticking with the other B gun.

My father, when looking for a 3 1/2" mag shotgun to make longer shots on geese ended up buying a Baikal semiauto.  (I've hunted with it, and I think it shoots quite well, especially since it was only $400).

He told me about how one of his hunting buddies, who had just dropped $1600 on a Benelli Super Black Eagle was giving him some ribbing about his cheap Russian gun.  Well, the first shot this guy takes with his Benelli, the damn thing breaks-the ring that holds the barrel to the magazine tube broke off.  Baikal?  Zero problems so far, and recoil with the big magnum shells is lighter than his old Auto-5 with 2 3/4" shells.

Last gunstore score of mine was a lightly used Marlin 336 .30-30 for $200.  Course, I went to a gun show a month later and saw the same gun in slightly worse condition for $150.

Sounds like a good take Collin, congrats.

The only "scores" available at my local shops are things like $1,000+ Clintonized Bushmaster/RRA rifles, $1300-1500 used pre-ban Colt Sporters, $800 HK USPs, $450-500 WASR-10's, etc...

I need to move, hehe.

Last year I found a Johnson Automatic Rifle for $2000. I traded 5 guns and a lot of ammo to get it but it was worth it.

It goes well with my -
M1 Carbines
1903a3 rifles
M1 Garands

That's a smoking deal on a greatly underpreciated American weapon.

Nice catch! Very nice!

One of my best buys was a pre-ban Springfield M1A1 Supermatch in 2002 or so (in NY...still only pre-bans allowed there) for $1200.

One that I still think was a good deal was that I traded an HK93 + accessories (scope, mount, bipod, mags, tuned trigger) + $500 for a 906SA series green Steyr AUG.

Some might be going WTF, overkill...but according to Gun South (importer) there was only 10 of 'em (factory green ones, not black) bought in country before the ban took effect. At least, that's what Pete of pjs-steyeraug.com says...didn't know that at the time, though; I just wanted another damn AUG

Sometimes you come out ahead, other times you don't.

Got my Beretta CX4 Storm 90 series 9mm recently for $529 shipped.

The lowest I found one locally was $620, but they had none in stock.  The only place that had one wanted $650.

The auction listed the rifle as 'used but probably never fired'.   When I got it, I found the statement in the auction to be TRUE.  Also came with one of the side rails already installed.  No original case or sight tool, but I got everything else.

That's about the only score I've had.

Hmmm.... the Remington 700 in .17-.223 improved for $100 was prob'ly my best, though just a couple weeks ago I bought a Rem 700 in 7 mag for $200.  Both are mid/late 60's production, fleur-de-lis checkering, decent wood.  I got the .17-.223 because the idiot I bought it from thought it was broken because it wouldn't chamber a .223 round, duh.  The 7 mag was just a right place right time deal.
The first one was rebarreled to a .17 Remington and is my funnest sage-rat exploder, the second one will be a .338 Win Mag as soon as I swap barrels (Friday).  Both came with scopes, too.

Neener neener.

1911fan

ETA: And the Ruger Security Six, stainless 4" .357, for $50.  Not stolen, but the previous owner had taken it down to onesies to clean it.  Came in three ziploc bags and took me 15 minutes to reassemble.

i could well be wrong but i don't beleive the limited to 1000 hype CZ put out on those. I have 2 i bought about 2 years ago and they are still showing up NEW at my FFL from time to time.

that said 350.00 was a good deal. i paid 420.00 for both of mine.

I wouldn't mind seeing another one around, I would pick up a 2nd one for sure.

I bought an 1851 Old Navy, Original Colt, probably 80% plus condition, for $250.00.  Hell of a deal, and bought a Ballard rifle at the same time.  Made WAY more than I paid when I sold them both about a year later....  MournSword
