Glock carbine?
Anything? (other than the Sig 556 which we already know about) |
Rock River Arms has .458 SOCOMs available for order and is coming out with .308 rifles.
Rock on! |
THats not new news. |
Any pics of the SIG rifle other than those posted yesterday? I'd like to see one with an actual 16" barrel, not the 20". Also, is it coming in any other colors? Like OD or coyote? Or mauve? How come no one makes a mauve rifle?
I'm guessing we won't see any pics or get any new information until tonight....
please someone prove me wrong |
Via Glocktalk the buzz was "no new products" from Glock:
http://www.custom-glock.com/shot.html |
What? No carbine? |
That's new news for me..... |
BWAAAAAAHAHHAAHAHAHA Another year, another disappointment from Glock... |
I sure wish I would have reconsidered not going to SHOT this year. I went last year and had a great time, and this year there are waaaay more exciting introductions going on.
Looking very forward to this evening when everyone gets back to their laptops and starts uploading updates on what is being shown. |
Just read that Keltec has released an inexpensive single stack flat 9mm pistol. Looks preatty nice and smaller than a Kahr.
see it here ETA: link |
Just saw this post from MSTN link
No mention of the Glock or sig but sounds interesting. Can't wait, flying out tmrw am! |
I wish I had gone this year and now I find out next year its in Orlando. At least in LV the wife would play the slots while I looked. |
The .458 SOCOM uppers just became available today. According to the RRA rep in the industry forum they were made available today to coincide with the opening of the SHOT show. |
YAY !!! a SIGTAPCO 556 !!! |
That was sarcasm, right? I mean, you're not really surprised, are you? |
Smith & Wesson releasing an AR15. That's news to me. I like the Bear Protection Kit too.
How about that big-assed logo on the port side of the receiver? A little Krylon will take care of that! |
Don't you mean starboard? |
oh so now people are saying that Glock is going to wait until the END of the show to debut something.
? |
I meant to type "ejection port" side....typing too fast... |
LOL whoops.....I didn't even think of that |
Word from the Sig 556 thread is that someone heard from someone who talked to the Sig reps that the 556 will accept a factory 55X folding stock.
Not sure if this will violate the law requiring X number of US-made parts, though. |
This is the link to the Keltec press release on the single stack 9mm. Sorry if this is a dupe:
http://www.kel-tec.com/pf9pr.htm 12.7 ounces! That link is indeed a dupe. I am dishonored. I will have to commit SEPPAKU. |
How about adding a DeWalt logo to the gun case and grips? |
Yes, but the 16" just has the exposed barrel chopped off, so it will be just as front heavy. For the life of me I don't understand why they couldn't use a shorter gas system on the 16". |
From looking at the picture above I am guessing the Sig Rep in the booth will say this to himself tonight:
"I swear I put a rear sight on this rifle this morn...wait a minute! Theiving bastards!" |
Sort of a dissipator look, which I like--on ARs. I too wish they had a shorter gas system. Perhaps with feedback from consumers... |
Looks heavy as hell. I'll pass on this rifle unless, some serious modifications are possible. Starting with the stock. I really don't think I like the upper, definitely needs to be 16", and the handguards... eh' Thats really a garish looking AR abortion and I'm sorry I feel that way. I wonder WTF Sigarms was thinking, or smoking for that matter. |
I love Tapco then |
I'm with ya, I didn't like it at first, but maaaaan its growing on me. |
Looks to be in the 40 watt range. |
Variablebinary: Is that one on the top a 556 with an aftermarket forend? Nice.
Check it out, Sig clear KOOLAID! |
That is the 556 SWAT model. That is how it ships minus EO and vortex. The mags are stackable like the 55x and it appears that sig is making them transparent as well |
Could that one be the "SWAT" model? |
People amaze me how they bitch about everything.
AR15 suck, i will glady sell my CAR-15 for a 556 or a FN2000 or even a SCAR. |
That's coool... |
It looks like we won't be seeing many more 556 pics posted in the SigForums for awhile (at least not ones without the BIG ASSED watermarks).

You saw nothing. caporider Member Posted February 09, 2006 03:06 PM Here's a repost with the levels turned up for more detail. 1Zach1 A thousand words Picture of 1Zach1 Posted February 09, 2006 03:10 PM You think that picture might have been taken down for a reason? caporider, I see you are new here so I will let you in on a little something here. If one of the owners posts a picture here and shortly thereafter takes it down and deletes his post, he may have had a good reason for doing so. Further he will probably not be too happy about you reposting it. LBJ doesn't have El Kabong as his avatar for nothing. Take heed.
