I heard about this group many months ago but I just received a email today from them and figured if I got one them alot of other gunowners are getting their email as well.
They are a "Pro-gun" group that needs your $ to defend and protect the 2nd Ammendment. Their webpage is www.huntersandshooters.com Please pass the word around that they are anti-gun lobby group hidden under NRA sheep's wool. Make sure you and your friends do not send money to huntersandshooters.com ! Please post this at ANY pro-gun websites that you frequent. I pretty much hangout here and saiga12.com. I urge everyone to go and check out their website and look DEEP into their gun rights section. Whenever they mention the word "regulate" they actually mean BAN. They have changed their stance on a few things just to look more conservative. A bunch of snakes, they are ! LB |
|
If you read this post please bump it so others can be warned about these anti-gunners !
AHSA believes the FBI SHOULD BE given reasonable access to National Instant Check System (NICS) purchase records to insure terrorists and other prohibited individuals do not have access to firearms. huntersandshooters.com believes that gunowners should never transfer a firearm to a stranger without first going to a licensed dealer or to local law enforcement to obtain a background check. huntersandshooters.com supports MANDATORY background checks at gunshows. huntersandshooters.com supports the regulation of .50BMG rifles and would like to see them registered just like machine guns are now. I wonder what they would want to force "others" to register next ? LB |

From the site.
Under the Constitution and laws of the United States, gun ownership is a protected right. But this right when exercised, requires the utmost in responsibility and vigilance. No constitutional right to bear arms exists for criminals, terrorists, or others who seek to abuse the very freedoms our Constitution guarantees. The law is crystal clear on this point: reasonable laws designed to keep guns out of the wrong hands are entirely consistent with the Second Amendment. AHSA legislative policy will always promote the common sense interests of hunters and shooters. AHSA also will always give top priority to the basic safety and security interests of our communities. In short, AHSA supports rational, deliberative firearms policy crafted to protect our sport and our communities. Moreover, AHSA strongly opposes legislative proposals that violate Second amendment rights by impeding access to firearms by law-abiding citizens. By faithful adherence to basic Second Amendment principles, while balancing the needs of our sport and the needs of our community, AHSA will promote rational and practical firearms policies that serve to bring Americans together. |

They start off sounding pretty good but after you get past the front page you'll find they support banning .50 cal. rifles and they support background checks for ALL sales at gun shows. They are just another bunch of so-called sportsmen who don't give a shit if doesn't affect their duck hunting.
|
|
Nope.Rabid anti-gunners TRYING to sound like "reasonable" sportsmen.See.You fell for it. |
|
|
They have enough wrong that I'd never support them. They make the same mistake of equating citizens to "criminals". Criminals violate the law when they "try" to buy a gun, so let's get real and just identify them as they do this and incarcerate them for their efforts. What do they do about it in reality...nothing....except make it more difficult for a citizen to buy one. Not a lot of genius there.
|
|
They have spent alot of time hiding what they are. They LOOK good but if you read just a little they start to smell.
Id say they suck and not in a good way. |
|
They've been exposed here before, but it's good to have this come up every few months.
These aren't Elmer Fudds who hate everything but their "deer/duck guns", these are rabid anti-gunners trying to fool the Elmer Fudds into helping them out. This is like John Kerry trying to appeal to Elmer Fudds during the election. |
|
It isn't a mistake. The gungrabbers must have been reading up on their Sun Tzu...divide and conquer. They set the Elmer Fudd types against the EBR owners. By seperating gun owners, they make it more likely that the Fudds will throw us to the wolves in an attempt to placate them. Only way to rectify this is to make more EBR owners - so next time you go to the range, bring someone along with you, someone who is not familiar with EBRs. |

Hmmmm. A little research goes a long way.
First, I was not able to find any reference to the NRA, anywhere in their website. American Hunters and Shooter Association. (AHSA) even has their own gun safety steps when the steps developed by the NRA could be used instead. Second, the AHSA Executive Vice President is John E. Rosenthal. Is this the same John Rosenthal that is the co-founder of Stop Handgun Violence? Makes you wonder if this may be the same Massachusetts real estate developer that helped push through all the draconian gun laws in Massachusetts. Apparently, the “reasonable” gun laws that AHSA want to make national are the same gun laws now in place in Massachusetts. |
|
I saw this on their site:
"The American Hunting and Shooting Association emphasizes that keeping a firearm for home protection is not appropriate for all homes or all individuals." In other words, government should decide who does and doesn't have the right to own a firearm. Great. I wonder how many people fall for this crap. |

If it looks like shit, smells like shit and your still not convinced then taste it.........
By God if it tastes like shit than it most certainly is. Luckily I didn't have to taste it, I was convinced by the look and the smell. Sneaky f**ckers, lets start an email storm. How about crashing the server........legally of course. Pick a time and everyone click on their webpage? |
|
Bump.
I don't browse any big hunting forums, but for those of you that do, please post this info there. Sneaky fuggers. |
|
Wonder what the NRA has to say about this group.
I'm curious as this is the first time I've heard of them and usually the NRA is all over a group like this. |

Check these SUPPOSEDLY Pro-Gun groups-
Smith & Wesson: “Authorized dealers cannot sell at gun shows unless every seller at the gun show conducts background checks.” Company Statement of Policy March 17, 2000. National Alliance of Stocking Gun Dealers: “Do something about the `gun shows.' Either shut them down or regulate them and restrict their activities to legal transactions in firearms. The Grand Bazaar approach that we now have ensures that every pugnacious child with a grudge to settle and every other form of human predator have easy access to all the firearms that they might desire, while the legitimate firearm owner is increasingly saddled with more and more onerous restrictions”. Bill Bridgewater, Executive Director of the National Alliance of Stocking Gun Dealers, in a 1993 letter to the House of Representatives Crime and Criminal Justice Subcommittee. National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturer’s Institute (SAAMI): “[The] Industry supports background checks at gun shows provided the FBI does not maintain the names in violation of the law and the administration agrees to be more aggressive in prosecution of felons turned up by the background checks.” Robert T. Delfay, President and CEO, 1999. American Shooting Sports Council, Inc. (ASSC): "The ASSC Board supports requiring all transfers of firearms at gun shows to be subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations currently applicable to federally licensed firearm dealers including the conducting of the instant background check on purchasers." Minutes of the Board of Directors Meeting, November 21,1998. Board Members include: Glock,Inc., Smith & Wesson, Heckler & Koch and Taurus. Check out their site, full of all kinda ANti-goodness |

Brilliant!! I hope you were not involved with that Taffy! Within a fortnight, van loads of bricks, telephone directories, heavy books, abusive letters and animal excrement were sent to the league’s offices in South London. One hunter posted a dead squirrel. Translated: Within two weeks, truck loads of bricks, telephone directories, heavy books, abusive letters and dog shit were sent to the league’s offices in South London. One hunter mailed a dead squirrel. If I'd known, I would have mailed the opposum I hit with the car two weeks ago. It would have been ripe after its transatlantic voyage. |

They put out a lot of blabber. Honest people don't need complication. What they really are saying is they support "common sense gun regulations." (Hint: where's that from?)

Posted over at Conservative Underground and I'm sure some of those alledged conservatives will agree*shakes head* |

One very bad dude. Much money, in tight with the Kennedys and all the usual suspects. Very antigun, exc. for his guns. He owns the real estate in Boston on which this infamous antigun billboard stands. (Fenway Park in back.) Rot in hell, cocksucker. |

They count on our short memories, complacency and lack of fire in our bellies. Let's prove 'em wrong! |
