I went out to the range yesterday. I was cleaning my reloading bench and discovered a box of 6.5 CM that I had loaded 3 or 4 years ago using Reloder 17 powder. I couldn't remember if it was an accurate load or not. I took my Ruger Precision Rifle and put six shots into a dime sized cluster. The first shot was about 2 inches away from the cluster. I attributed that to me not being familiar with the trigger.
I went home and took my dial caliper and measured everything so I could duplicate that load.

At least 2 years. Hell, I have 3 new guns that I've never fired.

*edit. Make that 4 new guns I haven't shot yet. Forgot about the Ruger American Rimfire.

I've been shooting 4 times in the past two weeks. Twice shooting steel, one long range, and one load development.

I should be shooting guns less and putting more time into bow before the season.

I haven't shot a gun in two years. Partly because of time constraints, and partly because of the ammo shortage.

I need to change that.

When was the last time you had some range fun?

I shot once this summer for the first time in about two years.

It was fun...

Sadly, constraints on my time as well as low energy levels at times prevent me from going more often.

I have a large ammo fort, and enough components to load or reload an additional 5-6000 rounds of .223 and 9mm.

I typically compete once a week in NRA Service Rifle matches, or M1 Carbine fun matches, or Mini-Palma .22 matches.

During the winter, I'd load up a range bag with 3-4 various pistols and shoot at an indoor range.

I have not shot a match at all this year. It's been almost a year since I made anything go bang.

Not exactly sure why.

Last Sunday, shot my Tikka T1x and my 20"ar on the hundred yard range.

Sometimes it's a month or two between range trips.

I took my little brother shooting on Saturday for his 21st birthday.

Good times.

Apparently the chair force doesn't teach you how to shoot, or make you qualify... he couldn't hit shit

Went to the range about twice this year and the second time was only a week ago after the ammo prices finally started to drop.

I really miss 4 years ago when I would spend hours at the range spamming my 357 revolvers and tac14.

I shot 6 rnds. of .357 mag last year from the last gun I bought. A Cimarron Arms Colt Lightening clone - the dbl action.

I would estimate 15 unfired guns, as in bought and never fired..

Used to go 2x per month, but past year only been a handful of times. Every time I went the range was empty, and staff seemed really happy to see me. Work, kids, ammo...

I did get a laser dry fire setup, though. That helps with some fundamentals, especially with ammo being what it is, but it's not a real substitute.

When ammo was available everywhere, I shot a lot.

When it got scarce I went into conservation mode and lost interest in shooting and picked up other hobbies.

Want me just take all of that stuff from your 'old' hobby off your hands?.... would free up space in your house so you can really get into and enjoy your 'new' hobby.
I wouldn't even charge you or ask for anything in exchange for taking it off your hands and making room for it all in my home.
Just let me know.

Funny enough, airguns only for as long as I can remember.  Ammo can't be reasonably replaced, and I do have a 15 yard airgun range in the basement.  Several different CO2 pistols, a springer .177 pellet that can consistently land one shot on top of another, and one of the Crossman FA SBR CO2's.  That one is an absolute riot, and I still giggle when I put the switch on fun, LOL!

This reminds me I need to get out in the next week or two.

It's been at least a couple months. Sometimes I go a few times a month and sometimes it could be months in between.

I miss living on a farm when I shot every couple days.

Same here. It is not because of shortages. I just want to be able to replace what I use.

I havent had a lot of time, and until my health issues are fixed it makes things more difficult.
