So who else feels the Republican Party is dead after this election. I have never seen so many spineless fucks that won’t back each other. 74+ million probably ain’t gonna vote for these clowns anymore when they can’t even fight for their President who helped this party. Your thoughts

They've been dead for years.

The rotten bloated corpse that was the Republican Party has finally been exposed to the masses though.  Almost all of them are in it for the game, and not for the country.   They aren't leaders.   And I for one am fucking done with them.   I pray that some Phoenix rises from the ashes, because my votes are equally wasted on Libertarian candidates.  But I will no longer support those who refuse to support me when push comes to shove.

Like him or not, disagree with his tweeting or not, personalities and egos aside, Trump was the real fucking deal and he was here to do what he thought was best for America.  Was he perfect?   Fuck no.  Nobody is.   But he had the conviction to stick by his guns when things got tough.

Next election, Ha!  their "base" will be voting for them ever again.

I took my kids with me to the voting booth every vote, showed them who was on the tickets, let them push the buttons.  Almost 100% republican, maybe a libertarian in there every so often.   NEVER AGAIN!
Voting since  I could.

I will not vote again.

Until there is a way to secure elections, until there are candidates (not parties) that listen, until there are candidates that  have my world view, I will not vote again.

Make of that what you will.  Patriot or traitor.  defeatist or removing myself from the game.  I'm done

Trump last had an approval rating of something like 95% from Republican voters, basically the entire party. They will be very fortunate if only 25% of Trump supporters stop voting at the state/national level. Of course a 10% decline loses every purple district solidly and from there you begin cut in to the reliable Republican districts.

More importantly Trump's platform and Trump himself got working class white people in the rust belt and even managed to flip Hispanics in some key areas. Where is the Pence/Romney GOP going to get the voters to make up for the loss of Trump voters? There aren't any. Even if there were more white evangelicals to turn out they aren't in the right places. Trump was campaigning everywhere from New Jersey to Pennsylvania down to Georgia and Florida. He crushed the bellweather states like Florida and Ohio. He's popular but the entire GOP leadership is condemning both him and his supporters.

If half of Trump voters leave the GOP, then the senate Republicans will have so few seats that they won't even be needed to pass Democrat legislation. Remember that voters don't have to go somewhere like a new political party, they can just stop actively participating.

EDIT: The Libertarian party isn't going to court Trump voters. They don't even support tariffs anymore they just chase billionaire money.

^ This.
Its unbelievable to me that those stupid sons of bitches in the RNC and DC leadership couldn't see that they had a leader that had overwhelming party loyalty. Why they wouldn't keep that train going is hard to comprehend??  All they needed to do was not allow voting laws to be changed to favor urban fraudsters and to police the polls and counting centers in the problem areas. They essentially left 5 urban fraud machines free reign to steal the entire country's election.
Brilliant strategy. You got rid of the one guy who could pull you retards to four more years in power.
Now it will be a fundraising blitz like no tomorrow, "Help me fight Chuck Schumer"..  Lol good luck Lindsay

Hehe.  Yeah, they're probably toast for a while.  They couldn't distance themselves quickly enough, trying to save themselves from the the onslaught of the propaganda machine (wow, what a wonder to behold it is :D).  In the process, they alienated a good 10-20% of their most reliable voters.  ...and they were already a minority party, relatively.  I know minority parties usually gain in midterms but I would be surprised if that is the case in 2022.  People have short memories, but the Dems are going to keep hammering this as an excuse for legislation long enough that it will remain in the national consciousness for awhile.

it won't happen.  the last populist 3rd party candidate to run was Perot.  And in the end he got Slick willy elected.

besides if by some miracle a 3rd party candidate did win, he'd have two opposition parties to contend with, he'd get nothing done and would probably get impeached.

Whats remarkable to me is how blind politicians are.  Their knee jerk reactions to this are to retreat to their usual normal reactions.  Go hide in a corner and clamp down more, and it doesn't seem to have occurred to them that everything that has happened to this country over the last 12 years is a direct result of that kind of behavior.

If nothing else, it really brings home how these people live in an alternate reality.  They really are the dumbest people on earth.

Stalin was a butcher that killed millions of his own people. He also ordered the deaths of several US GIs that had sought refuge in Russia. They were either shot down flyers or troops that got cut off from their units. There were between 50 & 200 of them. Just something to think about. Not trying to cut anyone down.

Believe me son, I've been on this marry go round a long time.  It's not naivety, it's reality.  Stupidity is quitting by taking your ball and going home and waiting to die on your doorstep because of eminent domain.  A lot of people here need to grow up and pull up their big boy pants.  I'm okay with going independent...but for what?  What will that win, what will that accomplish?  I'm as disgusted with the republican party as everyone else, including with the state representatives.

What prominent leaders are you going to coalesce around to support as independents?  Are you running?

Again, before we nuke the republican party, I think we need to simply focus on nuking the traitors in the party.  While I would love for your conservative/independent candidate can primary your local republican traitor, that's going to need money and organization.  Or you can take your way out and just not vote...that sadly may be the only option for the corrupt bastards we can't primary.

So, let's hear your strategy and plan?

The Republicans sold us out a long time ago when Reagan left office. The problem with the republican party will forever be candidates that can't get elected as a democrat, wrap themselves in the flag and bible and tell everybody how conservative they are and we eat it up and elect them and when they get to Washington they immediately become moderate on everything and then say "well everything isn't black and white, it's a tough job up here in Washington"

I think one of the main reasons that they want to get rid of Trump is that he made the job of President look easy. He just went up there and got things done. Politicians don't like that, it compromises them, so they got rid of him, but they under estimated the support from the people that trump has.

Believe me after yesterday the republicans will run at full speed to get away from Trump. After he leaves they will purge the RNC of trump supporters and they will go back to the spineless cowards that they are and will go back to being the defeatist party that they so love to be.

Republicans are done because they have no strong leadership, Trump was their backbone and they turned on him.

I don't normally buy into the typical post-election claims of "this party is dead".  However, this seemed a little different - especially with the propaganda going full bore against us (this is what all the pushing from the left in the last year was probably really waiting for).  After thinking some more, I have to admit, the Republicans in office are not stupid.  I guess they must feel short term losses are now inevitable and they must be worried about longer term prospects.  Regardless, I can't imagine them having much success in the next few elections.  Between propaganda poisoning the moderates to the Republicans, themselves, throwing a large portion of their most reliable voters under the bus, they don't have much of a path forward in any but the most staunchly conservative areas in the near future.

Those disengaging from the political process are abandoning the battlefield.

The reason the left is winning is because they don't give up after a loss.  But apparently a lot of people on arfcom do.
