These structures were built out of granite without the use of metal tools perhaps a thousand years before the  Incia people discovered them.

The Incia people found these ruins and did their own buildings on top of the ancient structures.

Kind of off topic but still relevant to this thread. Yesterday I was watching the history channel and I found out Abraham Lincoln was a slave, Racist, lazy , a liar, and homosexual.

I disagree, cuts like that are easier to make in stone than they are in a fresh loaf of bread.

I always hear that, but can’t you see the tool marks on the stones where they were hand-fitted? Didn’t they also find numerous examples of the tools used in the fitting?

Let me give you a hint on how I know this was done by indigenous populations.

Advanced societies work in composites & advanced materials, primitive societies work in stone.

Went to Peru and Machu Picchu earlier this year, its very obvious the older stuff was built with a lot more skill than the newer stuff. There are megaliths all over the place in that country, its absolutely amazing.

20180407_151714 by _Storz_, on Flickr

Compare what you can see on the right side of the photo to the construction on the left and behind. My thoughts are that the Inca inherited these megalithic sights and built on top of them (not uncommon in the ancient world) trying to emulate what they saw, but without the extreme precision of their forbearers. The very square blocks on the right in the photo actually represent the "middle" building period according to some researchers, the earliest blocks are the larger non-uniform building technique in the bottom photo, that appear to be 'melted' together almost (behind the Mrs). Seeing it in person is pretty memorable!

Incas built it. Then they abandoned it after Spain kicked their ass. It was not "discovered" later. The locals knew about it the whole time.

Earlier this morning I watched a video of a Pacific Islander use a chain saw and a chisel carve a spiral bar stool. This isn’t rocket science this is craftsmanship. All it takes is a lifetime of learning and practice and anyone can carve rock and shoes are optional.

The fact that these stones are made of granite.

They were cut without any metal tools having been invented yet.

Many of these stones had right angle inside corners cut into them.

Try cutting a right angle inside corner using modern tools.

It makes you wonder why they cut such elaborately shaped stones when square or rectangular stones would have been much easier to cut and stack.

Are there diamonds in that part of the world?

I have found metal tools that have been left out in the dirt for a year or so and those were hardly recognizable, 1000 + years might make it worse.

The Inca people found the ancient ruins built with far superior skills than they possessed and they built their structures on top of this structure that they found.

No. This revisionist crap is ridiculous. The structures are dated. There is some stuff there which is pre-Inca in the deeper layers (as discovered in the 80s). The main part of the structure was clearly built during the Inca empire.

Machu Picchu was built in the 15th century; the reason it looks like less skilled labor built on top of it is because when it was "found" it was in ruins and what you see today is the effort to rebuild the thing by people that dont have a month to rub two stones together to get them to fit.

Read a book for cryin out loud.

I dunno how it was done, but until I see someone do it with copper chisels and without wood or the wheel I kinda doubt it was the Inca.

I'm talking about the huge megalithic stuff. Not the stuff built on top of it and around it.

The only this I disagree with you about is the slave labor part. It was most likely a team of respected craftsman with the backing of some sort of guild. Masters and apprentices do the important work. Possible slaves doing the heavy and squishy grunt work.
