I am....just like nearly every holiday. I get off work at 5am, and I plan to grab a couple Redbox movies and a newspaper. Thanksgiving will be spent watching movies, cleaning guns from the last range trip in April, and looking through the BF ads. Food will probably be Ramen noodles or some Chunky soup...maybe some nachos if I feel up to it...
Just me and the dog (who doesn't like me)

at the very minimum, if thanksgiving means the slightest iota to you, you should spring for a nicer dinner. it doesnt have to be 10/10 on the arf scale but something nice and you enjoy.

Yes and no.
I'll spend the day contemplating who I will gift NRA memberships. Then, I will gift them. I will do what I can to improve the shooting community. It will be a difficult choice. A lot of good people answered my offer. So, I say to you, OP, take somebody to the range. It won't be on Thanksgiving, but it will be close enough. That's what you do with your holiday. Give somebody the gift of Second Amendment freedom. If it's a girl, you better post pictures. |

Perfect day for me to get some work done that would not normally get done. Got a scheduled shutdown at a hospital just for me to do some work there.

Being alone on holidays sucks, and I hope you find some friends to hang with. Dogs are great though, sure miss my 14 yr old lab that I had to put down this past summer. That dog was totally loyal and always happy to see me, of course we had a friendship based on me providing his food, but it worked.

Remaining family is on the other side of the country...Someone did call yesterday with an invite to their house for T-day, but honestly I rather like going solo on this day. Will probably catch up chores, watch some tv (twilight zone marathon on today maybe ?), and finish setting up my XL650 I bought two months ago. |

Home alone with the 2 dags - one of which is a new puppy.
wife is out in Utah for the week working on a rental property we bought. Turkey Pot Pies (Marie Calender) in the freezer have some nice Samuel Smith Ales to wash down any meal new guitar amp arrived yesterday so get to play with that as well life is good |

Done it many times myself and I actually prefer it. I throw a frozen pizza in the oven and enjoy the day alone getting things done around the house(and getting paid, holiday ya know). Beats the hell out of spending a few days driving across the country to visit family or visiting friends and having to deal with their goofy over the top thanksgiving spirit families.
